Tawan Riverside

Un magnifique sanctuaire ou j'ai passé une super journée. Nous avons dormis dans une agréable petite cabane et au réveil, que du bonheur de voir les éléphants. L'exclusion était au top. Merci pour tout

The property was in a beautiful setting. We had 2 lodges and the 3 bed had a great view of the river. Watching the bamboo boats going past was great and at dusk watching the locals fishing

Nothing at all. We were reading some reviews about how the treatment of the elephants was unethical and the mahouts used “sticks with sharp objects at the end of them” but we seen none of that. I even went up close to a few mahouts to see their sticks. Nothing but a rubber tip on them. The younger elephants were allowed “free time” at dusk. They wandered the park without the mahouts. The elephants were restrained during the night. On a bank out of the setting sun, and it was pretty close to the bar, but the review I’d seen was talking about “drunk visitors screaming at them”. From the behaviour towards the animals the mahouts showed, I’m pretty sure they’d of been escorted straight off site.

Me gusto muchísimo la habitación, es bastante acogedora, bonita y amplia, tiene un balcón pequeña para sentarse a tomar algo, hablar, comer tranquilamente… Ademas los alrededores son muy bonitos y llenos de naturaleza

Los elefantes estaban encadenados toda la tarde y noche. Por la mañana pasean por el recinto pero de resto están atados

El ambiente es espectacular, está al lado del Río y en mitad de la selva, y la cabaña en la que nos quedamos muy bonita. Se pueden contratar todas las actividades nada más llegar, son muy flexibles

Los elefantes están muy bien cuidados, pero hay que tener en cuenta que no dejan de ser una atracción turística

La chance de côtoyer les éléphants à été fabuleux

La cosa bella è rappresentata sicuramente dalla location. Il resto è migliorabile per alcuni aspetti ma infogna anche capire che si è in una foresta.

L’acqua del lavandino esce quasi a goccia (colpa evidentemente della cisterna non capiente) e l’aria condizionata nonostante fosse inverno non scaldava. Abbiamo dovuto dormire con o maglioni.
