UAWe enjoyed our stay in Skyville.The hotel is on a hill where we walked by foot even though we could request a shuttle to bring us from Kundasang town(we didn’t know about that possibility).Skyville impressed us with it’s magical atmosphere and serenity.It is a quiet place.Our room was clean and we had everything we needed-Wi-Fi,hot shower,clean sheets and bathroom.The staff was very friendly and helpful.Thank you,Ema and Dym for the great service and support!Fadzil,our driver,did amazing job bringing us everywhere we wanted around Kundasang and Ranau.The staff was amazing.

NLVery quiet and peaceful location with 2 very cute dogs. Contact with hosts was fast and friendly. Good size rooms with comfortable beds and nice hot shower. Wifi worked flawlessly for us and had no problems with any other things during our stay. We came back for a second stay of 2 nights as a stopover on our return to Kota Kinabalu from the Sepilok/Kinabatangan area and it felt a little like coming home.
As others have pointed out, the drive up is a pretty steep road where there are a couple of points where it is difficult for 2 cars to pass. However, we never had a meeting with another car and if you're a confident driver with a strong enough car it shouldn't be a problem.

The road leading to the property was in poor condition, and it gets completely dark at night, which can be inconvenient if you plan to go out. The rooms were old and not well maintained. Although check-in time was stated as 3 pm, when we arrived at 5 pm one of the three rooms we had booked was still not ready. When the third room was finally prepared, basic amenities such as drinking water were not provided. In another room, towels were missing, and we had to repeatedly request them via the walkie-talkie provided. The iron and ironing board were shared and located outside. Unfortunately, the iron was stained and ended up burning my shawl. While communication with staff was facilitated through walkie-talkies, response times were often slow. Overall, the service and facilities did not meet expectations.
