Wildhaven Sonoma Glamping

This place is cute. Beds are comfy, common areas are clean, staff is really nice and helpful. Here's the one issue- the site is by a loud road. The provided ear plugs are needed. On our night stay, a facility alarm went off at 11 pm and a man started screaming at 2 am, police had to come and help. We barely slept.

OK Stay.

We rented for several nights for 2 grandchildren in the early 20's. They were thrilled with the location (very close us at Enso Village) and the comfort, the natural beauty, and the amenities.

We booked a Riverside tent to take our family for our first glamping experience in Sonoma County. Before you book your stay here based on instagram photos and reviews, let me tell you what you are getting yourself into first: The tents and cabins are close together, you will hear every baby crying, kids screaming, and noise from the tents surrounding you. The property is near a highway, regardless which tent or cabin you book, you will hear nothing but cars and trucks 24/7. Feels like you are camping on a roadside parking lot to be honest. Russian river is murky and infested with mosquitoes, no shady area or sitting area around either. Its a muddy trail going there. River is dirty and not recommended for swimming. Bathrooms and showers are clean but cramped. No string lights on riverside tent ceiling as described online. The furniture patio set is a joke, talking about two small stool size chair, not comfortable for lounging at all. No outlet to use in tent either, not even a usb port for charging our phones, the property wifi is slow and the fan they provided inside the tent is not enough to cool down the tent, its over 95 degrees inside the tent when we stayed this weekend. Outdoor is just as hot and dry, no breeze or common lounge area for guests to cool down. Personal fire pit is small and no sitting area around it. Paid for wood and they barely provided enough for us to last a night. Might as well you bring your own. Overall, for the price we paid for, we could have gotten a better accomodation in a hotel or other glampsite. This place is dry and not suitable for those looking for a quiet retreat. Between the road noise, mosquitoes, heat, and noise from the other guests, my family decided to leave in day even though this place is unable to provide us any refund for not meeting our expectations. Our dog and kids overheated and the temperature in the tent is unbearably hot and unsafe for elderly and small kids.

Beautiful location. We had to ask where the bathrooms and showers were, but once we figured out the layout, everything was only less than 200 or so feet away from the tent.

There was nothing negative at all to say about the property.

Staff super friendly and a cute romantic place to stay.

The camping tents were nice. Heaters were provided charging stations for your phones on the nightstand. There were rec seating outside as well.

Wild Haven has its own store with items to buy. My only complaint is it didn’t stay open very late so after check-in, we had to drive to a convenience store to get basic items. It would’ve been nice for the location to at least be open until 8 PM. Also, the coffee bar that they talked about ran out of supplies pretty early on so we couldn’t partake in that until the next morning.
