Hotel Le Temple

Beautiful though a bit overly designed. New. Lots of staff that were generally very polite and attentive.

The restaurant was super huge and with abrasive lighting. Food was attempting to be French but missing the mark (though breakfast was pretty good). Service didn’t feel very internationally- minded

L'originalité, le design et la décoration de l'hôtel, le jardin magnifique, la piscine, tout est zen, très apaisant. Le restaurant est bon nous y avons mangé la plupart des repas. Le personnel est très sympathique et attentionné, et nous a aidé pour organiser nos excursions. Le cadre est magnifique, on a envie d'y rester !

Le café qui est sur la route menant à l'hôtel est bruyant, on entend sa musique la nuit c'est dommage ça trouble la sérénité du lieu.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und Chefs - man kam als Gäste und ging als Freunde! Herrliche Villa mitten in der Natur mit einem tollen Koi- Teich vor der Villa! Leckeres Frühstück und tolle Küche. Fussläufig zum Borobodur Tempel.

This is a beautifully designed tranquil oasis near the Main Borobodur temple. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food is incredible: Michelin star quality: astoundingly good. The design is original but ties in with the temple theme. Walking distance to the Borobodur temple too.

The bed was not the most comfortable. Also, the design of the rooms was unique to reflect the temple idea, but this meant that the bedroom was upstairs and the shower and toilet were downstairs which was not ideal. The stairs were not straight and not that even. The mirror for the oddly-placed sink behind the bed was too low for anyone standing. There was also very little space to put bags and clothes in the upstairs bed area. All in all, the practicality of the design of the villa did not work for an older person like me. Which is sad as it detracted from an otherwise perfect hotel.

A beautiful resort located on farm land within eyesight of the borobudur temple. This is both a good and bad thing. On the good side the rural setting is just lovely. But it does mean there is not much going on around the resort. Eating options are very limited unless you get a taxi somewhere. This would not be such an issue if the resort restaurant was 5 star. Unfortunately it is not. The meals are expensive, small, and underwhelming, with the western options odd versions of the real thing. Clearly the chef is not internationally trained. Nor is there a lot of options on the menu, so if you are staying for more than a few nights you might get tired of what is on offer. The moat like pool around the restaurant was a hit with the kids (and parents 😁). It's a bit strange to access, as you need to go through the restaurant to get in. But it was refreshing, clean and well maintained with a lovely outlook. The rooms we had were good but the floor in ours was deteriorating and was a bit odd to walk on. There was a shoddy attempt to stick the worst parts of it down. Staff were great, very friendly and keen to help.

Staff are really excellent without being overbearing. They were willing to facilitate exceptional requests and were responsive to all of my needs. The hotel is designed like a temple and the rooms are really interestingly designed to mirror stupas. Mine has a massive outdoor Jacuzzi tub large enough for an entire football team!

The only think I did like is that there were a lot of local fires causing some pollution. That isnt the hotels fault in any way and impacts every hotel in the town. It only lasted two nights.
