Tiara Desaru Resort

The beach and the swimming pool is good. Location is alittle far off from and quiet road at night.

There was no welcome drink offered during our check-in time.

Nothing.

Resort condition is bad. No in house restaurant, spa & massage. Beach so dirty. Staff not helpful. No room service. No telephone in room. No shops, restaurant or massage parlour nearby.

We arrived after a very long time travelling from South Africa and decided to have a quick swim before resting and my son had a completely unexpected seizure whiles swimming. We were in a foreign country and in complete panic, added to that it was a public holiday. The staff went out of their way to assist and get us the necessary medical help. We will forever be grateful for their assistance and kindness especially the hotel manager Eugene Jansen. We were treated like friends and family rather than just guests. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and comfortable everything is compared to previous reviews I'd seen. Definitely value for money. We also had privacy, a beautiful view and everything we needed in the room which was very clean.

The things I'd critique are really just suggestions, not at all things that made a negative impact on our trip. The wifi isnt very consistent and the restaurant food options were not really our taste, saying that we are from far away and use to different cuisine. Many options outside the hotel though.

We are thankful to be able to spend the night and shower before going home.

Can't watch TV broadcasts and the water kettle is not very clean.
