Playa Blanca Beach Resort

Location-wise, this place is close to all the nearby restaurants and has direct beach access. We stayed in a deluxe room while my kids stayed on the upper level standard room. The property features a beautiful infinity pool and sea view. The rooms have air conditioning, fan and safe box; the deluxe room has a larger TV with Netflix, while my kids’ standard room had a smaller TV with regular cable. A minibar is available for an additional charge, of course it comes handy for breakfast if you’re not a big breakfast person and ok with noodles and coffee. You get a complimentary pitcher of water (refillable) However, we were mostly out exploring the beach, nearby restaurants, and enjoying water sports.

This place is not friendly for families with oldies, the staircase to the main road is a killer! So make sure you’ve got enough stamina, strong quads and calves to climb them when leaving the property :) specially with bags! The pool is small and mostly cloudy though they clean it everyday so I am not sure if it’s the amount of chlorine. I guess this is the only thing we didn’t appreciate.

Quiet place

Very bad experience. The host herself is not accommodating. Knew the cups and linen are not clean, said will have it replaced and cleaned but did not. I have to bring down those used cups by prev guests and get new ones for ourselves. The bathroom is not well cleaned. The drainage in the cr smells bad. Leakage in the lavatory. Waterflow from the shower is poor. The swimming pool is not clean and water are not really clear. The host said the pump is defective. They should have drained it instead. Noticeably the host is biased in treating guests. Lastly, unfortunately, I had bed bug bites.

It is clean and the staff and the owner are friendly. The view is good as well. We will go back again next year.

staff was excellent - Nancy looked after us so very well they have their own boat and you board right at the hotel for island hopping

the stairs - if you get dropped off by trike on the highway - you have a very steep stairway down to the office - brutal carrying bags -you can arrange pick up and drop off on the beach not far from the hotel - if your room is uo high you have to deal with the stairs
