Quiet location

Resort only does basic breakfast. No dinning/lunch option.

Lovely staff! The receptionist help us to arrange our ferry to Cebu + the tuk tuk to the port very early in the morning. They also made a sandwich breakfast to go 😀

A very quiet environment. The 1 bed top floor rooms give you a lot of space. Very clean on arrival. Able to book ferry to Cebu ( 100 peso charge). Staff very friendly. Good shower pressure and hot water never ran out. Breakfast choice of 6 types, continental, American, 2 types of omelette and pancakes. Also Filipino choices. King bed was comfortable. Air con v efficient. Big fridge in kitchen area. Tiled floors. When you book a taxi and have paid Alona 42 make sure when the taxi comes you don't pay the driver! Having lived in Asia, the communication btn driver and resort isn't great- we had to tell Alona 42 to tell the taxi driver we were not paying him cash and we had to show Alona 42 the receipt they issued us. Make sure you double check travel arrangements.

Sadly we got bitten by bed bugs. The location is down the ugly end of the beach ( not beachfront). 15 minutes walk along a dirty road with no pavement. Bin never emptied during 5 days. Understood the cleaning only every 3 days but this did not happen. No fresh fruit or veg at breakfast. Juice is cordial. Sofa in living room needs to be replaced - sagging can feel the springs. Black mold in grout and shower.

quiet, clean, good location, nice facilities, lovely staff. would recommend this resort to others. also had a really good breakfast - the reviews for the breakfast are low but we thought it was fantastic

Setting was excellent away from the beach, only 5 minute walk or 100 peso trike to the beach. Breakfast was good too, staff very polite and knowledgeable.

This was our second stay at Alona42. Next time we return to Panglao will make it our third. The staff are wonderful, the garden is beautiful, and the beds are incredibly comfy.
