Southern Panorama Indriya Resorts & Spa

Beautiful setting in the valley, bird song, nature, very peaceful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we’ve had in Kerala and lots of it too.

The facilities were quite tired and in need of modernising. The health spa wasn’t really suitable but more of a games room. The pool was quite disjointed from the rest of the hotel and not very modern or inviting. The remoteness of the hotel meant you really need your own car or private driver which we didn’t have so we felt quite isolated particularly as we visited at Christmas time so taxis were few and far between. This wasn’t the hotels fault though, of course. The rooms could do with a hairdryer and more coat hangers in the wardrobe too. It’s also a shame they do have the local tea in the rooms. Not suitable for couples wanting privacy or a more romantic time but to the number of large families and children.

The jacuzzi was broken. No tissues & linen was available. No phone was available for customer service calls. No water & condiment refills were done. Spa facilities not available even upon 24 hr advance request
