Perfect location

The room smelt awful of damp, the bathroom had mould all over the ceiling, the beds were full of ants. Was moved to another room which had cockriaches and a separate toilet shower not fit for use.

Right on the beach, awesome dive shop inside, not a far walk from the market/restaurants, functional room set up. I loved being 50 feet from the diving equipment.

The accommodation is not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, however, it may be high end for Malapascua. The property's layout is really clunky.

A wonderful experience here. On bounty beach but in the far quieter end. But saying they it’s only a 12 min walk from the port as everything on this island is walking distance. Really welcoming staff. A lovely breakfast. My hut room was on the beach. Great price and a calming location. Great communication throughout also. Very personal. Top marks from me

Remember when everything just seemed to be so easy? That’s what we remember about our stay at Aabana. With all bases covered and oodles of space - both índoors and out - we were able to enjoy all that Malapascua has to offer. Bed was luxurious, linen great and bathroom worked really well when coming back in from the beach or the sea. The fresh buckets of water placed at the entrance came in very useful too. Staff were a cut above and super helpful plus as smiley as the days were long. Aabana is located at the eastern end of Bounty beach and therefore gets a little more breeze than other sections. Really enjoyed this aspect as it made fending off any mosquitoes that much less of a mission. Being able to sit on the beach, late at night, and gaze at the night sky was a priceless experience. Do it if you get the chance. Final shoutout has to go to Julie and her team. They were superb.

Too much mosquitoes around the rooms, malfunctioning Toilet and bidets. Rude-ish behavior of the owner who treated us badly. He needs to learn how to choose his words when speaking to customers. Anyway, the staff and the breakfast made it up, kinda.

Aabana was perfect for our 12 day stay on Malapascua Island. From the info rich and useful emails received before we arrived to our final goodbye, this was a wonderful experience. We loved and appreciated so much: * Location - on the eastern end of Bounty beach, where there is often more of a breeze - keeps the mozzies at bay. Perfect. * Spacious living and sleeping areas plus a great terrace with tables, chairs and hammocks. What more could we want? * Garden setting. We stayed in two of the chalets during our stay and both were surrounded by trees, flowers and offered privacy. * Comfortable beds with great bed linen and mosquito nets. * Air conditioning unit plus a fan. The air conditioner is an older model and not the most quiet but we only used it intermittently (to cool down the room) so that wasn’t a problem. We then ran the fan. * Tasty breakfast served on the beach with usual choices - pancakes, eggs, rice, fruit. Not the widest range of options, but we were very happy with eggs, rice, fruit, juice, coffee etc. If not up to your preference or not included in your package, there are excellent breakfast options all along Bounty beach. * Delightful staff - Julie and her team were impressive. Responsive, friendly and efficient. Able to organise much - a lift to a restaurant or back to the pier, bulk water (an absolute blessing and incredible value for money!), cleaning when needed; leave you alone when ‘do not disturb’ sign is up. Dropped your spectacles on the beach? Yep, the staff have retrieved them, dusted them off and they’re waiting at reception for you. * So lovely having a fresh bucket of water at the entrance to the chalets. Gets all the sand off sharpish. Aabana isn’t the resort with the most modern accommodation, but it’s got great bones, good workmanship to appreciate, an enviable location and is soooo spacious. We found it a very easy place to live in. Excellent value for money. Would be our first choice next time we visit.
