The pricing/costing I think

Vi bokade boende på Leuchtturm för att ha en utgångspunkt för besök till Oslob, Dalaguete och Osmena Peak och det fungerade utmärkt. Dessutom hade den närbelägna orten Buljoon en imponerande, gammal kyrka med tillhörande fint museum (med utmärkt guide) som är väl värt ett besök. Dessutom en stor klippa, Il Rock, som det går att gå upp på, och ramla ned ifrån om man inte passar sig! Leuchtturm är en stor byggnad i flera våningar men från marknivå går de nedåt, så vid ankomst se det mycket trevligt ut och det är först då man är nere i trädgården som man ser byggnadens storlek. De har en stor matsal med härlig utsikt över havet där det var trevligt att bara sitta och ta det lugnt. De har också en omfattande meny att beställa mat från. Både personal och ägare var jättetrevliga och hjälpsamma. Nu passerade en tyfon rakt över oss under vår vistelse på Leuchtturm och då kändes det skönt att befinna sig i en så stabil byggnad. Medan floder översvämmades och spolade bort hela träd märktes ingenting på boendet. Strömmen försvann i några timmar men köket kunde ändå fungera och vi fick låna lampor som gick på batteri.

Med viss aversion mot sjukhusmiljöer så är inte korridorer med dörrar till rum min favorit och det var så boendet var upplagt, men det är en ytterst subjektiv uppfattning.

Staff was great! Owner was former chef that has created a superb menu! Quiet place that made for a great stay!

Other than an unfortunate Caesar salad, the food was pretty good at the restaurant, the sea view is nice.

Very spartan interior, lacking simple amenities like a phone in the room and coffee station. Lots of maintenance issues, the pool is very moldly, oddly shaped/narrow and half filled. The beach is all rocks. The vibe of the place is like castle Dracula, complete with weird noises at night, huge fox bats flying around and looking at you from the trees (which was kind of cool actually, but also little creepy), and an overall run down feel to the place. Very few staff too, our server was also the cook, only one running the restaurant! Internet was slow and spotty.

Breakfast was very good and always hot. The location was out of the way for short casual walks to shops or town. However, catching a bus was quick and reasonably priced. The staff made this place wonderful.

Distance from any quick trips to town was a bit of a problem. Beach was stoney and pool needed a bit of a cleaning. Sometimes food items were hard to obtain but this was no fault of the resort.

Very congenial host, and staff were wonderful, smiling and helpful. Quiet at night, lovely 7’ pool freshwater plus a 3.5’ wading pool. Beach is typically broken coral but the waves sound like a stereo wave machine to lull you to sleep. We didn’t swim because the surf was strong and the water shallow . Wanda the dog was a cute ever present companion. The security guard even helped serve delicious meals. It’s like a big family. Chicken schnitzel is a specialty and very tasty.

No elevator yet, but soon to come. Staff helped our bags up the stairs. It’s a little ways away from any restaurants or attractions but a quick inexpensive bus ride gets you to Oslob, and must-see whale shark swimming.
