Nelinsa hotel was excellent.Mr.Kumara Owner and Janaka and staff gave us best service.We experienced great hospitality.View from room was greeny mountains.Food was super delicious.

The hotel's buffet was a delightful array of simple dishes and incredibly flavorful. Their clever use of various spices highlighted the aroma and taste.

It would be best to discuss your booking charges before arrival and double-confirmed it. Had a little discussion about the booking.com price vs the actual charge price. Remember to ask for all-inclusive prices with VAT and service charges.

Location, Food and Friendly Staff.

No Wifi

The helpful attitude of the staff and good food (especially Kottu) is the biggest asset they have. There is a lady and a gent called Lakshman. You must talk to them if you need anything or having any concern. They are experienced and will deliver what you need. Others are new and somehow the communication is dropped. But highlight is that they are so determined to serve and improve. The hotel was fully booked as we were there on X- Mas day. Many of staff had been recruited just couple of days before and there were human mistakes and coordination issues. However, overall they did a superb job including X- Mas night live music and fireworks and serving superb food options for the price charged. The place is closer to few attractions around including one tree hill which can be seen from the hotel.

We stayed three days but the rooms were not cleaned while we were staying there. Informed them to clean on the first day as we were going out for sight seeing but didn't happen. No sign board to indicate that we need a room clean up too. The phones are not connected so you have to go to the reception to talk to them for any supplies or for ordering anything. Bathroom supplies or room water bottles were not refilled. a big miss was a kettle in the room. They serve with beverages but phone is not working so that you need to walk to the reception. I would have liked to use the pool as shown on advertised photos thought it was a pretty good one. But it is not more than 4 feet deep and people are served with hard liquor just at the pool so this is basically a party pool and not to swim. We were at room 101 and 102 and the sunset view is the best thing you enjoy from those rooms. However, 2/3 of the view is ruined by the roof of reception hall just down below our rooms. Bad design. Also the heat and reflection of the sun hurts if you are there in the day time.

Food

Booked after seeing the photos on Booking.com. Rooms we get were no way closer to photos. Probably the worst in the resort. No hot water in our room, and they couldn't fix it.

The staff were exceptional, the food was great, there wasn't anything to complain about.

Amazing views, friendly owner, chef and staff. Delicious 😋 food with lots of choices. They provided transportation to kandy and back and forth to airport 🛫. We enjoyed 😉. Sam, India 🇮🇳
