The truth about the villa... We booked the villa for 3 nights based on reviews and photos above 9/10 on Google, Airbnb, and booking. We were horrified to find out that the villa was filthy and dirty. the sheets and the towels were stained. there were cockroaches all around and even a mouse that scratched one of us. One of the rooms with a smell of mold that you can't breathe inside. Another room with tractor noise (check video) broken and leaking AC, hot as hell in the room. All the mattresses are hard like stones. Overall - terrible level of maintenance; (toilets are leaking, broken handles, flooding in the showers etc..)

Excellent service from Khun Dua, Cha, Ban, and Sunny 4) the food prepared by Khun cha and sunny for breakfast and dinner 5) ever ready tuk tuk to send us anywhere anytime

1) no aircon at living room/tv area 2) dim lighting, old aircon at level 2 bedrooms 3) cleanliness of kitchen utensils and lack of air ventilation 4) bed bugs/mites at some of the mattress and sofa cushions at living room

this was by far the best house I’ve stayed at! the villas was Perfect and beautiful. they helped us with every single thing from pick up wherever we were in Thailand to the boat to the private van and dropped us to the villa. everything was unbelievably smooth and I literally did not have to plan or worry! the staff were the friendliest and helped us with everything including daily breakfast. island hoping was arranged and any other activities we wanted was just a text away. they even arranged a massage for the 6 of us in the villa by the pool area! they drove us anywhere in the island for free too! I’m so extremely grateful and truly privileged to have the opportunity to stay and experience Villa Lydia! thank you for everything and we will be back soon!

This is more than just your average villa booking- they pick you up and drive you to the villa free of charge where there's welcome drinks waiting for you, and you can order your breakfast for the next day from an extensive menu. They also offer to cook you dinner and have many options for traditional Thai dishes. We enjoy cooking so we opted to cook our own meals instead-the kitchen is fully stock with everything you need, including juicers & blender etc. The villa is huge and looks exactly as the pictures. The view from the villa is amazing, and the infinity pool is lovely. Villa Lydia can also assist you with organizing tours, book ferry tickets or arrange an in-house massage in the villa's Bamboo Spa ! Overall, we just loved our stay in Villa Lydia and would be back again in the future.
