Management staff is awful! One day we were without electricity for over 5 hours. We contacted the emergency number provided and there was no response until the next day. They simply replied “sorry we didn’t have signal and hope it’s resolved.”No compensation was offered for the BAD SERVICE and NEGLIGENCE OF NOT ANSWERING AN EMERGENCY NUMBER especially considering the fact that we had an infant with us without our own transport. God forbid this was a real emergency!!!! I’ve never stayed at a place where the reception / host does not answer any queries for an entire day!!!! After advising them that we feel they need to offer some type of compensation they claimed to give me a free game drive valued at the price of a game drive for 5 people when only 1 person took the last game drive. So they claimed the compensation value was over R900 when in fact it was valued at R185. Daylight robbery!!!! The rangers are also average too. Some lack enthusiasm, you need to keep asking them about the animals rather than them just sharing the knowledge they have. Quite disappointing! The main pool was also being renovated! It’s like 35 degrees and peak season so one would expect this to have been done before peak. Will never stay at this place again because of their poor attitudes

The chalet was large and well-stocked for a self-catering stay.

No cleaning services on a Sunday. Extra charges to enter the reserve that was almost R1000, these aren’t listed when booking and come as a surprise after the reservation is made. The entry procedure into the reserve gate takes a long time, and the staff there were really not great, they were slow and did not seem to know what they were doing. It sets a bad tone for that to be the first encounter.

Good value for money, enough space for a big family. Enjoyed the game drive

I wasn’t notified about the R350 vehicle levy before hand. Only found out when we arrived. Also the code to enter the property was not given to me. Had to call reception when we arrived
