Very poor WiFi

The staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were collected from the airport and I felt very safe as a solo traveler with small children. We spent hours at the pool - what a spot! So beautiful and private. We enjoyed a delicious lunch delivered by very friendly staff. Breakfast was also so fresh and the staff made sure it was available until we arrived from the airport. I would recommended and would happily stay there again.

can’t really fault it

The positives: nice pool, pretty gardens and the staff is friendly (like across Timor Leste)

the hotel seems to be surrounded by karaoke parlours and the obsession is such that they karaoke from midnight to 7 pm non-stop, quite loudly! So not the right place for a good sleep. And the hotel knows about this but they don’t really do anything about it. The first night we needed pool towels and we were told that nobody had the key for the cupboard where they were. The following day we needed to catch the boat to Atauro at 7:30, we were told breakfast opened at 7 and when I showed up at 7 the breakfast guy (who by the way is the only not friendly person in the hotel) refused to open because he was late setting up. I had also arrange a pick up with their driver the guy never showed up. So had to go out in the street and negotiate a minibus with passengers and all to make it to the government palace on time. Apartment 13 also has issues with the hot water in the shower. You need to leave the water running for a bit before it gets warm. The other problem is that the hotel is far away from anything and transportation in Timor is a struggle. Another issue was the ability to communicate with the hotel staff. I was able to with my Spanish and French but their English level was not great. After visiting other hotels in Dili I would probably recommend Hotel Timor.

Very poor management of the restaurant. It was very hard to get anything for dinner. Breakfast was too repetitive and of poor quality.
