Casa Jaali

Very bad experience with Casa Jaali. 1. They have very limited food options available and if you are a veg and planning to stay there for 3-4 days, you may end up eating same food every day and every time. Food is over priced in terms of quantity they serve which is sufficient for 1 adult. 2. It was great to see the owner and staff were dog lovers and had 3 dogs with them. These dogs roam around and sleeps in their restaurant area only. Well if you are a god lover too, its a great experience, however, if you scared of dogs like me and my 10 years old child, you have no other option than to either stay outside the resort or to stay inside your room. Even if you feel intimidated with three dogs continuously roaming around you, trying to touch you (when you are hell scared and your child is scared too), owner or staff doesn’t make any attempt to keep them away and make the guest feel comfortable. Instead they will keep on asking the guest only to adjust with the dogs. One of the dog is ill and has diabetes which is leading him to have huge hair fall and he keeps on roaming and sleeping in the restaurant area.

I requested multiple times to the staff to keep the dogs in the designated area, but all i got from them was, they don’t bite and they stay here only. So better luck with you once you plan a visit here and feel intimidated with 3 dogs always around you while you eat or drink anything in the restaurant area. Rooms and facilities were basic and only positive point I could see in the property was its proximity to beach. I felt it overpriced with the kind of experience i was getting. You can book The Lalit which is also a near by property with almost similar price ranges. Overall, they did a good job in spoiling my family vacation at Casa Jaali.

The dogs present in the reception area needs to be groomed. One of the dogs fur looked in a bad condition. The dogs otherwise did not cause any trouble and were well behaved.
