Baan Bua Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Baan Bua cottage and would highly recommend. The room was cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. There was lots of choice for breakfast and every dish we had was delicious. We had dinner here every night too and enjoyed them all. Don’t be put off by not being beach facing, it’s well located and you can easily hire motorbikes. It’s also nice to come to a clean cottage after a day at the beach. They also helped sort mosquito nets (not that it’s really needed). Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Don't sleep on this place, it is absolutely magical. The women who we interacted with (who ran the place?) were very kind and relaxed. The taxi from the ferry dropped us off at the wrong place (Bang Magkok) and the women at Baan Bua came and got us! We also accidentally locked our key in the safe, and again they rescued us. The food they serve is AMAZING. The atmosphere is AMAZING. They had all the small touches like towels, a cover up and a beach blanket in a wicker bag for us to use (free). Air conditioner works amazing. Bed is so comfy. Room is large. Extremely clean. We stayed at another hotel after this, and despite that hotel being directly on a gorgeous beach... we STILL loved Baan Bua more! Just make sure you can ride a motorbike because you will need them to get around (they're automatic transmission and 250 thb rental from them a day). We rented 2 and it didn't take us long to travel to the various beaches. I have traveled a lot around the world, and this hotel is in my top 10 for sure. THANK YOU BAAN BUA!

Amazingly designed room, really top class. The setting in the middle of the jungle with a stream running behind the rooms. Nice resteraunt with a great breakfast.

Friendly staff, convenient scooter rental, tasty breakfast, cosy room, shower with waterfall background sounds (so calming), lovely cats, comfy bed and clean. Cant ask for more really, it is not at the beach but a good hub for all island activities. Traffic is easy so even beginner wont have a hard time with a scooter.

The rooms are really nice and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. Also, the dining area is nice and the garden is quite beautiful even during rainy season.

It’s not on the beach or next to a beautiful piece of nature like a waterfall. It is really close to a beach area, but that place is not that special.
