DAYA hill seaview

The stay was acceptable for the price, considering you're in Ko Lipe and everything is expensive. However, it's not a place to stay for many days. The location is great, close to the beach, except that it's on a hill and to get to the cabins you have to go up and down many stairs and through mud when it rains. It didn't bother us, but for older people or those with difficulty climbing stairs it could be dangerous. It's run by a local family, so you're supporting a local family, which we think is great.

If you take a taxi from the port, it drops you off at the very top, and you have to walk all the way down to find the beach huts. And the reception is at the very bottom on the beach! So many stairs! The hut was clean, but everything was very basic: no hot water, the toilet didn't flush, and the sink completely fell to the floor.

Absolutely stunning location overlooking the bay. Rustic accommodation full of charm. Peaceful but only a short walk to restaurants

Steps up to property a little difficult. Lots of mosquitos around balcony and no aircon. No hot water for showering etc. toilet flushed with bucket
