Varin Village Koh Lipe

Nous avions réservé 2 cabanes. Le jour de notre arrivée on a un formulaire à remplir avec nos dates etc. Nous avions réservé pour 3 nuits. La cabane proche de la mer est bien, simple, le matelas assez confortable, franchement pas mal. Cependant sur la plage, tous les taxi boat sont garés. On entend le bruit des moteurs le soir et le matin. On doit se baigner entre les bateaux ... L'autre cabane était moins agréable, le lit était vraiment abîmé. Le dernier soir on nous appele pour nous dire de payer. On ne comprend pas. On se rend compte qu'on c'était trompé de dates sur booking !! Vu que les cabanes sont quasiment vides on demande si c'est possible de loger ce soir "gratuitement" vu que nous avons pas dormi le 1er soir avec le problème des dates. Il est 21h et la gérante ne veut rien savoir. On doit payer, alors qu'elle ne louera a personne d'autre ce soir vu que le ménage n'est pas fait et que les cabanes sont quasiment vides. Pas très friendly ..

As you can see from the photos, the condition of this place is extremely poor. We knew we were booking basic bungalows with a fan instead of air conditioning, but this was far beyond what we expected. The structure itself felt unsafe, with rusty nails sticking out of the walls in several places—you had to be careful just to avoid hurting yourself. The cabin had gaps everywhere, so mosquitoes and insects were constantly getting inside. The worst part was the bathroom. It was in a very bad condition, dirty and unpleasant to use. The toilet didn’t even have a proper flush—you had to use a bucket of water, which was old and unclean. It felt very unhygienic. Communication was also very difficult. There was no proper reception, and the staff didn’t speak English, so everything had to be done through a translator, which made even simple things complicated. After seeing all this, we decided not to stay. We had originally booked three nights, but left immediately and found another hotel. We requested a refund, as the place did not match the photos or expectations at all, but it was refused. In the end, we had to pay for both this place and another hotel we actually stayed in. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

So sad, this bungalow will be demolished.
