Scam Alert ⚠️ – Avoid Drizzle Drop Ooty at All Costs Our experience was horrible. We had booked in advance and paid an advance amount. The owner of Drizzle Drop confirmed the booking multiple times, including just 30 minutes before we arrived. But when we reached with my 4-year-old child and 70+ year-old father, we were shocked to find our room was given to someone else. We were left stranded in the cold and rain—completely helpless. Then they casually told us they had arranged a room "nearby" for the same price. That property had no amenities, poor comfort, and was absolutely not worth the money. What’s worse, when we reached that other property, we found out that this is a regular scam. Drizzle Drop takes multiple bookings, sends excess guests to this other property, and collects a commission from them. We also learned that guests have even been kicked out in the middle of the night due to these overbookings. This isn’t just mismanagement—it’s a planned scam. Please stay away from Drizzle Drop Ooty. Do not trust the owner or the booking promises. They put my family, including a small child and elderly parent, through a terrible experience.

The hotel gave our room away and informed us they were full upon our arrival. They claimed we missed an advance payment, but we had attempted to call them multiple times with no response. We were never contacted regarding any payment requirements. It was a terrible experience that forced us to book a much more expensive hotel nearby at the last minute. Furthermore, the booking platform has been unhelpful and dismissive of our situation.

La seule chose que la chambre avait de bien, c'est un belle vue, dehors. Tout le reste était très médiocre. Le lit semblait propre mais j'y ai trouvé des cheveux, peut-être que les cheveux se trouvaient sur la couverture car le drap me semblait propre. Et il y avait aussi qu'un seul drap et une couverture. Alors que l'on s'attend toujours à 2 draps et une couverture. Surtout d'après le standard de cet hôtel. Et de plus, toutes les lumières ne fonctionnait pas, il n'y avait qu'une seule lampe principale et 1 loupiote pour la nuit alors que la chambre comporte une sorte d’alcôve où se trouver un lit jumeau, et avec une seule lumière principale, il est difficile de voir dans l'alcove.

La propreté de la chambre n'était pas vraiment au top, j'ai dû nettoyer avec des tissus jetables, la chaise, la table et toutes les parties où l'on pouvait déposer nos affaires car c'était pas vraiment propre mais cela ne se voyait pas au premier abord. Mais, comme je me méfie toujours, j'ai préféré passer le linge jetable qui ma permis de voir que le linge était noir.

Extremely comfortable beds and nice service! We also did a day trip with traveldesk "cab in Ooty" with Mr. Karthick and had a really good time. I really can recommend his service! The Hotel was 30 mins walk from the city center but you really don't need to walk of you don't want to. They offer to call for a Tuktuk or Auto anytime and you can have breakfast and dinner there (very delicious). Me and my friend had a great time and would visit again!!
