Plearn Khaoyai Resort

My partner and I had the most amazing time at Plearn and exploring Khao Yai National park. Walking distance to everything you need including a bank with ATM where we were able to split our larger notes, excellent restaurants open late, coffee across the road and cheap, local convenience stores where we got drinks and snacks. The place is very close to the national park entrance which was great when finishing a long day of hiking and safaris, since Pak Chong is a further 30min drive. We got a 300baht train from Bangkok to Pak Chong and then a 500baht 30min taxi to the accommodation which I would also recommend doing. The owner was very kind and helpful and gave us some great restaurant recommendations and sorted out a taxi for our return to the train station. You can tell they are invested in you having a good time at the accommodation and they would actively make sure everything was okay with our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious with all essentials, tea, coffee and water bottles. They also had some little tables in common areas near the pool where you could eat a takeaway breakfast or dinner. The views around the place were also stunning and a great way to start the day. We didn't spend too much time in the rooms since our days were mostly spent in the national park. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Khao Yai.

The room was extra large, with a nice view out the back of the nearby mountains. The staff was extremely friendly and helped make a number of arrangements for me to better enjoy the nearby national park.

The swimming pool water was cold on the cool mornings, though it was still nice to get some laps in.

A beautifull surrounding, the pool is lovely (like brand new), the owner very friendly and helpfull, thereby restaurants are uncountless on a short distance by feet (or otherwise there's always a transport possibility). The room is very clean, is cleaned every day, can't expect more Thanks!

Great place. Clean and well maintained. Refreshing pool. Supermarket nearby and plenty of restaurants.

Good location close to park, owner is very supportive, got some cutlery to make our own sandwiches, and first place where there was a hook to hang our own mosquito net!

The third bed in the family room could use a topper, but we now used the matresses of the 4th spare bed for this

I can only echo all the positive comments, which made me book this place in the first place. This is the first "10" rating of many comments / ratings I have given during my travels. And it is well deserved. The value for money at Jason´s Plearn Khaoyai Resort is excellent. The cleanest rooms I have ever had in Thailand anywhere - and that includes some 4/5 star Hotels! The best & cleanest pool I have seen in a long time. Great location, close to the National Park, so pick-up (e.g. by tour operators) is easy. While the main road (incl. food places, a Temple and a nice Cafe) is in walking distance it is still quiet in the resort. The beds are great and even the towels had a very fresh scent! The photos on booking.com all reflect reality, which sadly isn´t always the case. Jason is a very nice host and can help with Tours etc. We also were allowed to spend the time at the pool, while waiting for the taxi (way after our check-out time), which was a luxury and made our trip even more pleseant. @Jason: thanks a lot, mate! I will definitely come back with future visitors to Thailand. All the very best!

Nothing really. (Perhaps just one suggestion: have one or two hooks installed in the shower by the pool? Makes hanging a towel or clothes a little easier.)

Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable, the AC works and WiFi is good. It’s a bit apart from the road, so it’s quiet at night.

Hotel doesn’t offer breakfast (as stated) and breakfast options in the area are very limited

My small bungalow was cosy and clean. The facilities are well-maintained and it’s very calm even if the main road is not far away. The swimming pool is a gem with crystal clear water and big enough for a good swim. For relaxation you have two wooden XL- sunbeds under a sun canopy. Host Jason really takes care of his customers. I really appreciated that he has an eye for simple details. As I opened my closet a pleasant smell welcomed me because air fresheners were hung inside. Wifi worked well. Reliable Connectivity and enjoyable speed. It’s the perfect choice for a few days in Khao Yai. It’s not the big holiday resort, with pool bar and restaurant but for a decent rate my basic needs were fulfilled at a high level of perfection. I had two relaxing days with good sleep. In Thailand this can’t be taken for granted everywhere.

I liked everything. Just a word for people who are not wired in the same way to avoid disappointment due to false expectations. There’s no breakfast, it’s not offered in advance and therefore I find it unfair to complain about that. There are many Thai eateries outside already opening in the morning. You need a car, a motorbike or at least a bicycle to get around.
