Pano Resort

The staff was amazing, very friendly and an awesome cook. I felt like every need I had was addressed and taken care of immediately. A standard fan room was comfortable and not too hot with the breeze and you can't beat the view!

What an amazing stay! On an absolutely stunning island, Pano Resort has an absolutely unbelievable location, with its own little lagoon at the front of the rooms and sunset over the sea every night. My girlfriend and I came for a quiet getaway with beautiful views and this is exactly what we got. Be prepared to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of waves lapping against the shore. I also have to mention the lady who runs the reception and kitchen, she is absolutely wonderful and makes everything with love. Her pancakes in the morning are great.

Not much to mention. The rooms need a little bit of maintenance and if you leave food out and unsealed, you will find ants coming for it. You also will need to rent a scooter if you want to get out and around, but that's fine.

The ladies running Pano Resort, particularly the woman who does the majority of the cooking and check-in/out, etc., are absolutely lovely. It felt like I was coming to stay with my aunties, haha. The rooms are in a wonderful, quiet area directly by the ocean, and you can't complain about being far from the sights when the whole island is just 16 sq. km. That being said, there isn't much within walking distance (same goes for most resorts on the island). Fortunately, renting a motorbike was super easy, and the bikes are in great condition. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Not sure about lunch as we ate outside most days. Highly recommend the banana pancake! There are also a dog and a cat that hang around the restaurant area. Both are adorable and super friendly. The rooms are beautiful in their wooden simplicity, and very spacious. Despite what other reviews have said, I found the bed to be very comfortable. The fan is a floor/stand fan, so you can move it closer to you easily, which helps a lot with the heat. We had to sacrifice the mosquito net to get good air, but it beats sweating all night. The shower has HOT water and good water pressure, which is nice. The bathroom is really big. I think the best part of the room is the huge balcony. It's great for stargazing since the area is relatively dark. During high tide, the water is almost directly beneath you. During low tide, you get an excellent view of the area's unique terrain. There's a hammock beneath each structure (2 rooms in one "house") where you can relax and enjoy the ocean sights and sounds.

There are some spots, particularly on the balcony, where it feels like the floor may partially collapse at any moment. It would be fantastic for some reinforcement boards to be added, just for safety and peace of mind.
