Andaman Beach Resort Koh Jum

Beautiful location, great for families, great food, very peaceful.

Nothing all great

It was a beautiful ocean front location with lovely grounds (of which the tiles could have been kept cleaner). The restaurant had very good food for good prices and the food was well presented. The exterior of each bungalow was well maintained. The air conditioning worked well. The beach was spectacular and within walking distance of many more bars and restaurants.

Some of the front line staff were expressionless and did not present a “happy to serve” you vibe. More like “I’ll serve you because it’s my job”. However, all of the other staff were exceptionally friendly, happy to help and engaging. The interior of the rooms could have been better maintained. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable, hard (and we generally like the very firm mattresses in Thailand) and uneven. The bathroom really smelled and the toilet seat looked like a rabid animal had bitten into either side of it making it uncomfortable upon which to sit. The shower did not drain well and one sloshed around in a puddle while showering. But the bathroom was well laid out.

We enjoyed the location, atmosphere, food, servers, and the massage practitioners. Very friendly and fun staff!

The furniture and beds are dated. The cleaning staff appear unhappy. We repeatedly had to ask for toilet paper. They need better chairs for sitting on the beach

Stayed here Feb 2023. We stayed in a family Bungalow even though there was just 2 of us. The room was spacious and had air con. Maids came in every day and replaced towels and cleaned. All staff were lovely and helpful. We even visited the sister resort on Koh Jum The Whyn for the day using the pool and facilities. The Whyn is an exceptional resort well worth a visit or an upgrade. However we loved Andaman Beach resort and would definitely return

the staff were not really kind or friendly and the owner pointed his finger at my face saying “you are a problem” because I asked for a missing pair of shorts from the Kai dry they returned to us. was shocking to say the least!
