Kookoo's nest eco-lodge

Ho scelto Dumaguete e il Kookoo’s Nest come prima tappa del mio viaggio nelle Filippine, con l’obiettivo di rilassarmi dopo il lungo volo intercontinentale. È stata una scelta davvero azzeccata. La struttura è immersa nella natura, in una posizione isolata con spiaggia privata: l’ambiente è estremamente tranquillo e ideale per staccare completamente. Ho soggiornato in un bungalow sulla spiaggia, spazioso e curato, con un grande terrazzo vista mare davvero piacevole. Il resort si sviluppa su un pendio piuttosto ripido: se scegliete bungalow in posizione elevata, preparatevi a fare diverse scale. Il ristorante è ottimo, con prezzi molto contenuti e buona qualità dei piatti. La spiaggia è bella e il lungo pontile consente di fare il bagno anche durante la bassa marea, cosa non scontata in questa zona. Ho noleggiato uno scooter direttamente in struttura per raggiungere il punto di imbarco per Apo Island (circa 25 minuti di strada): esperienza assolutamente consigliata. Fare snorkeling con le tartarughe è qualcosa di unico. Suggerisco di arrivare entro le 9:00 del mattino per evitare folla e possibili ritardi nelle partenze. La struttura si trova a circa un’ora dall’aeroporto ed è piuttosto isolata: perfetta se cercate relax, meno adatta se volete muovervi frequentemente o avere servizi nelle immediate vicinanze.

Everything was great

We really liked the quiet and beautifull location with the nice beach in front and the long Bamboo board walk on the sea, so you can swimm at any tide time. There are corals in front to discover and if you take a boat you can go around the edge to the behind lagoon. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, with an international selection of exquisite cuisine. Its nice to sit there close to the beach. We had a double storey Bungalow on the higher level with a phantastic view and sunset. The stairs are no problem at all, might only be a bit exhausting for elderly persons, but there are also Bungalows down at the beach. As the location is in a bay, its mainly calm and not windy, except the wind comes from an other side (depends on season). There are also nice beaches in the neigbourhood, easy reachable by canoe or little Banka boats. The owners are very friendly and helpfull for any questions. We highly recommend this little paradise on the south coast of Negros. Easy reachabble from Dumaguete in just an hour.

Accueil un peu réservé. On aurait aimé un peu d'aide sur les activités, des conseils ....

Nous avons passé les 3 derniers jours ici : le rêve absolu ! Nous avions choisi le bungalow de luxe vue mer et on n’a pas regretté. L’impression d’être seuls au monde, au calme absolu.
