Lots of stinging cell in the water

Un loc absolut minunat, cel mai frumos dintre toate locurile pe care le-am întâlnit în cele 30 de zile petrecute acum în Filipine. Atât de multă grijă pentru fiecare detaliu, o atmosferă atât de prietenoasă, facilități functionale, personal amabil, felicitări proprietarilor - creatori ai acestui colț de paradis!

Bun ar mai fi fost un "lift" pe scripeți, ceva, pentru urcat şi coborât bagajele, între parcare şi Recepție!...

Un séjour inoubliable dans un endroit magique. L’une des expériences les plus uniques que nous ayons vécues. Le bungalow avec vue sur la mer, bercé par le bruit des vagues, un coucher de soleil tous les soirs… on n’aurait pas pu rêver mieux. Les propriétaires sont attentifs, disponibles et de très bon conseil. Toute l’équipe est aux petits soins. Les repas, servis face à la mer du matin au soir, étaient à la hauteur de nos attentes. Sur place, tout est pensé pour se sentir bien : location facile de scooters, kayaks, masques, palmes, tuba… rien ne manque. La chambre était confortable, la terrasse avec hamac un vrai coup de cœur. Salle de bain propre ; l’eau est froide, mais avec la chaleur ambiante, c’est plutôt agréable. Bonus: - Le wifi est excellent (pour ceux qui ont besoin de rester connectés pour travailler à distance - avec une vue incroyable). - Il y a des chiens, mais ils sont tous très affectueux. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe. On reviendra, c’est sûr !

I love this place! I originally booked it as a mini holiday, but something came up and I had to use it as a work retreat instead (and also extend my stay by one night). It worked perfectly! Working from the hammock to the sound of the waves gave a much needed calm and focus. The owners even accommodated for a late check-out. The food is also excellent, and all staff friendly and helpful, just like I remember it from my first few visits nine years ago.

Kookoo’s Nest came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. I needed a few days of peace and solitude and this was perfect. My room was clean and comfortable and right out of Swiss Family Robinson. The bathroom was clean and well equipped; great water pressure but no hot water, although it wasn’t necessary. I spent a good bit of time relaxing in the hammock. The food was excellent; lots of vegetarian options for me. The beer was COLD and on the honor system; write your name in the board and help yourself. The staff was friendly and helpful. I requested a kayak early in the morning and they accommodated me immediately; clear waters and a beautiful area to kayak btw. The beach is a treasure trove of beauty - shells, coral, tiny crabs, giant volcanic boulders, amazing scenery. And friendly dogs and cats, several from Dumaguete Animal Sanctuary, provided me with some critter love therapy. I had been warned of “all the stairs” but they were truly not an issue even at my old age; they weren’t terribly steep and had plenty of landings so they were not a struggle. I took a Ceres bus to the road that cuts off to Kookoo’s Nest, then caught a habel habel motorbike the rest of the way. It was easy as well as a fun adventure. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. I will be back.
