Calm at Bangphat

Super tranquille ! Love it!!

Very unique. It’s a really sparsely populated area, but still shops for supplies close by and the seafood restaurant online 10minute walk away, too. Being right on the water, I assumed we’d be covered in mosquito bites, but neither of us had a single one. Whether we were lucky, or the Jungle Formula worked, who knows, but it was a nice bonus either way. Mr Bang was super organised and helpful and arranged a private longtail boat out to James Bond Island, Kho Panyee and Khao Thalu for a canoe trip which was a really enjoyable morning.

The location is great if you are looking for an independent way to visit Phang Nga Bay. 10 minutes walk from a traditional fishermen village full of friendly people with some great seafood restaurants. It is easy to organise private visits to the bay avoiding the crowds. The owner is very nice and supported us with all we needed.

Mr. Bang war sehr bemüht und hat uns bei allem geholfen. Wir durften Kajaks ausleihen und den wunderschönen Mangrovenwald erkunden.Eine bootstour wurde uns ebenfalls in kürstester Zeit orginisiert. Man benötigt ein moped weil es ziemlich abgelegen ist dafür hat man seine Ruhe. Den Sonnenuntergang kann man perfekt vom Balkon im Liegestuhl bewundern.

Beautiful and cozy cabin on the water, the room is nice and comfortable and has a private bathroom. The balcony is great to enjoy the view and the quietness of the place. The small fisherman village nearby (15/20 minutes walking) is lovely, local people are nice and the village is still traditional. Mr Bang helped us with the transportation to come and go, which was nice since the only man who provides taxi at the Phang Nga bus station wanted to charge us 700 thb for the 4 of us… Instead, we paid 500 thb.

We liked everything about our stay ! :) But just to let you know, the place is a bit remote (more than 20 minutes ride from Phang Nga) and the small restaurants nearby close early in the evening (around 8pm), be aware of that when you book
