We had an amazing time! The mangroves, the water, the floating villages and the incredible tour we took made it very special. All made possible by the very best host, Mr. Bang! At first, the location and surroundings seem disappointing, middle of nowhere. Until you meet Mr. Bang! He's not just helpful, he genuinely wants you to be happy! He took us on an incredible private tour and was totally worth it. The area and the landscape is breathtaking. 10 minutes away by foot, is a smaller, more intimate floating village, than Panyee. Although we're not so into seafood, we are so glad that we had the chance to eat the best seafood we've had in 2 months of travelling across Thailand! People travel specifically to Bangphat to eat the seafood at the 3 restaurants. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and the terrace on the water was cool. Altogether, for us, totally worth the trip there. One of the most beautiful impressions of Thailand that we willl remember.

It was super quiet, easy to find, not far from the main road. We spent there just only one night, but we will go back again for sure. We got water in the fridge, coffee and biscuits also.

Everything was perfect

The house looks nice and calm, for 1 or 2 days, but not good if you don't have a car.

No mosquito net and the house is on the water, there are holes in the floor, so many mosquitos can get in. There is a nest of bugs next to the main light on the ceiling. We left 3 days early because it's very remote and impossible to get vegetarian/vegan options there, not even pad thai. Wifi doesn't reach the house. One morning we were woken up from a lady shouting, and she was shouting for a good half an hour at some other local people. The owner refused to compensate for early check out. Also offered to drive us to the bus station and we had to pay him 500Baht although it's only 9km ( the taxi from Phuket to the place was 1300baht for 76km ). We felt a bit cheated and dissapointed.

It was quiet and cheap. Good value for money. Close Bang Pat which was interesting

Bed was uncomfortable. Bit of long way from anywhere. Very basic.

The rooms were ok, but no mosquito net and shower was not working.

You get to a pond with three huts, no personell around, no reception, no restaurant or shop near the accomodation. You need a car. Everything in the garden looks run down and neglected. No mosquito net, even though there were gaps in door and floor. Online pictures and reality are very different.

It was the perfect location to decompress from our long travel days bouncing around Thailand. Such a beautiful & hospitable small community, with hidden surprises and local comforts.

Being on the water / bay in Thailand, mosquitos are to be expected - so just be prepared if you are bothered by them.
