Jetwing Vil Uyana, A Luxury Reserve

We spent the first two nights of our holiday to Sri Lanka and it was a incredible start. We received a warm welcome, with a welcome drink, flowers, snacks and a cold towel. The incredible service continued for the rest of the stay, Upali who looked after us was a credit to the hotel. The food in the restaurant, as well as the cocktails in the bar were fantastic. The rice and curry was one of the best we have had in our whole holiday. The location is perfect for visiting the Sigiriya attractions, and tuk tuks can be arranged to take you wherever needed. The paddy dwelling was incredibly peaceful and equipped with everything needed for your stay. We also enjoyed walking around the hotel grounds and visiting their farm, as well as watching the local wildlife including wondeful bird life and monkeys.

The taxi prices quoted were pretty expensive, more than double what we were quoted by Kangaroo Cabs and similar companies. We don't mind paying more for a good service, but this seemed particularly high.

Heerlijk luxe jungle resort. Super vriendelijk personeel. Prachtige hutten op het water geeft het gevoel echt midden in het bos te zitten. Meer dan uitstekend eten.

Met minder verminderd visuele vermogen vond ik persoonlijk de verhogingen in de kamer niet handig. In de nacht tot 2 keer toe gestruikeld.

the surrounding beautiful man-made wetlands and lush vegetation. home to many birds, critters; including monkeys, and a resident crocodile. an interesting eco system that looks to be thriving. a small farm and walking/running track. everything was so green. villa’s strategically positioned in the different eco zones. an impressive wine cellar. personal service & customer relations.

We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel is stunning situated on the lake. The room we stayed in was huge, will everything you could need. It was extremely peaceful and every aspect of the hotel well thought out. All the staff were incredible, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Particularly Prasanna who took care of everything for us. All the food at the restaurant was delicious, not cheap but worth the price. We used the gym which was small and basic but had treadmills, bikes and weights so perfect for a quick session with great aircon.

Everything was great, only comment would be there is no door to the loo as the bathroom is open with the rest of the room.
