We loved the area where it was located, beautiful scenery and the staff really go above and beyond to keep the area in a pristine condition. We loved the bar staff, they were all very friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed in was great, clean and spacious. The pool as well was safe to go into and was great to sit by at night. We did ask for incense to keep the insects away and they were provided. The sunset cruise is great and the tour guide was great at explaining everything. The butterfly garden was amazing and again the guide had so much knowledge and explained everything in great detail.

Check in says 2pm, we got to the boat pick up point at 2pm and arrived at the resort around 2:20. The check in process took little over an hour, also our rooms were not even ready. Rooms only were ready about 3:45. We ended up missing lunch due to this. We had a slight problem involving the air conditioning in the room, after checking in we put our bag down on the chest of drawers under the air conditioning and went to the sunset cruise. When we came back the air conditioning had actually malfunctioned and leaked water all down the walls and onto our bag of clothes. All our clothes including underwear and socks were soaked. I informed the staff and they said they would send someone. Staff came and immediately got to wok changing a few parts, our room was basically unusable for 45 mins, the manager of the maintenance crew offered his apologies and offered to dry the clothes but we said there is no point as we were only staying 1 night and it would take 2 hours to dry the clothes. I asked to speak to a manager and he again said he can dry the clothes for us but I refused, I thought we would of getting something a bit extra such as a drink on the house as compensation as it was an expensive stay and this put a damper on the trip for us. We tried not to let this issue ruin our trip but was disappointed with the management for not offering compensation.

What a special hotel! The grounds are absolutely stunning, the staff was very nice, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the yoga and meditation sessions. The instructor was so kind and did a fantastic job introducing me to both practices. This was done at the perfect level for me. I also enjoyed very much discussing with him about other topics after the sessions such as literature and life in India. This was a transformative experience for me.

I only wish I had booked for more nights!
