The owners are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good and the rooms nice.

Beautiful bungalow in the countryside of this lovely island. Was nice to be close to nature with plenty wildlife to be seen in and around this area. Host family of this property were very welcoming and kind. They gave advice on how best to get to the property on the days leading up to our stay and we’re helpful throughout. Bungalow was spacious and comfortable. Although not luxurious, we thoroughly enjoyed and two great nights sleep. Elixir beach just a 10 minute walk away which is very beautiful and well looked after with very little rubbish on the beach. Like most places on the island, you will need to rent a motorbike to visit the main tourist areas which the family at the property arranged for us. Would highly recommend the restaurant on site here. Some of the best food we have had in Thailand. All prepared fresh and prices the best on the island. We went there and to another more known restaurant on the island and the on site one was nicest so highly recommend.

The room is spacious and the surrounding is nice.

The sink was kind of malfunctioning, the seats on the balcony were quite uncomfortable to enjoy it.

The bungalows were clean and spacious. You are surrounded by nature and in a quiet location, there aren’t many tourist so it feels like a real escape. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They helped for me to go kayaking through the mangroves which was the main reason I wanted to visit the south of the island. The restaurant food was incredibly tasty and fresh. You can walk to Au Muong Beach which was beautiful and peaceful. I saw a fantastic sunset nearby at Elixir hotel’s restaurant. I also watched the sunset from Lo Jak beach at vibe white sand beach bar which was nice but Au Muong was far more beautiful and serene.

The bed was a little firm but for 2 nights it was perfectly fine! As you are staying in a local area, you can hear prayer at 4am, I had read reviews that advised of this anyway so it was not a surprise nor a problem since this is their culture not mine - I always travel with earplugs anyway so it was not a problem for me - I stirred slightly but overall had great sleeps after days of adventure.

Lovely owner!! He is talkative and can assist with anything you need. Feel free to ask him anything you want. He suggested activities and assisted with bookings. Bungalow is really big with very good A/C! Restaurant with good food owned by the same owner just next to your house. Localization is very calm and lovely. If you want to rent motorbike ask owner to bring it to the pier so you can rent it from him, not another company :)

Ants in the bungalow but it was not the first place we met them. We are living in the jungle, though. Many animals and insects are normal. The location is quite far, but it's not an issue on Yao Yai as a motorbike is sufficient to get around and it's very calm there! 7-eleven and few restaurants are very close. Bed could be more comfortable.

Beautiful huts and lovely setting. The family were so friendly and kind. Really quiet and felt like my own little retreat which was just what I needed. Very much in nature - I’m not sure I’ll ever identify what animal call woke me at 1am as it’s not a sound I recognise but all part of being in among the trees! Easy to rent a bike, which you definitely need for getting around the island. It’s in a lovely quiet part of the island, and offers plenty of links to book activities. I didn’t end up doing any this time as I was so happy chilling, but already planning my next visit with friends and would love to take them back to the property.

The lock on my door didn’t work properly, which was not at all an issue in terms of worrying about my belongings - I never felt like anything would go missing! The only thing was as a solo female it did make me slightly uneasy at night. But hopefully it will be fixed soon as I mentioned it to the owner.

It was simple, basic - just the right thing what you need on an island. You don’t need more. It was great for people who wants to dive as the dive shop it’s just 1 km away. The owner and his family try to help with everything that you need. For example they have given us his fishing equipment and a ride to the pier for a little amount of money. You need to use sometimes google translate but everything worked well.
