Kawi Resort Ubud

The staff was friendly, and the view from the resort was beautiful.

We honestly don’t understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We were relieved to have only booked three nights because we couldn’t have stayed any longer. The Deluxe room smelled awful, especially in the bathroom, and the grout was moldy and black. There were also a lot of ants, and we could hear animals crawling inside the walls. Overall, the room could have been much cleaner. The breakfast was disappointing, the coffee was undrinkable, and they served drinks in plastic glasses at the restaurant, which felt very cheap for the price of the stay. The pool loungers were extremely worn out, with dirty cushions. Throughout our stay, lime wedges from drinks were left lying by the pool and were never cleaned up. Additionally, be aware that the hotel has a lot of stairs, so it’s not very convenient if you’re traveling with children or have mobility issues. The value for money was absolutely not there. This was the most expensive and by far the worst hotel of our 4-week Bali trip.

Our expectations of a 4 star resort were not met. Took 2 whole days to fix a leaking toilet. Private pool turned green. Not usable.

The property was really nice - exactly as the pictures. The staff are amazing though and so friendly. They do everything to make your stay comfortable. In our first night we had a couples romantic dinner which was amazing. We tried both western and Indonesian set menu and both were really good. The music was amazing.

We were asked to order breakfast the next day, but we just didn’t want to do that as we had no idea what we wanted to eat that day let alone “tomorrow”. However we found the food was cold when it arrived. We booked a few tours with them, but they are just the cost of the travel only - you still have to pay for entrance tickets to each location. If you get one of the staff drivers, they are the best! If they use a third party- not so good! Please always check as they ruined the day/tour for us as we didn’t have time to eat anywhere all day and then had the cheek to ask for more money due to them being stuck in traffic!

Amazing getaway just a short drive from Ubud center and key attractions in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to accommodate every request. We felt very welcome and comfortable during our stay.

Beautiful location and amazing pool view from our room.

The bathroom stink was just unbearable. The drains in the bath, shower, bathroom floor and sink radiates the stink of sewerage throughout the whole room. We ended up burning Lemongrass insense the whole time we were at the property to try and mask the smell.
