On the positive side, the quality of the food was good, the hotel’s close proximity to the sea is a real advantage, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful.

Some service details did not meet the expectations of a luxury resort. Before arrival, I requested a transfer from Vathi Port. I was first told to contact the hotel again when it opened in May, then quoted €50, and later advised to take a regular taxi because the hotel driver was not available. This was confusing, especially as my friend staying at another nearby Doryssa hotel was quoted €30, and during my stay the hotel driver charged the same as a normal taxi. I therefore do not understand why I was initially quoted €50 for what seemed to be a €25–€30 ride. We arrived around 10:00 am and the room was not ready, which was understandable. However, unlike friends staying at other hotels, including another Doryssa hotel, we were not offered breakfast and were simply told breakfast had finished at 10:00 am. For a family-friendly luxury hotel, I feel breakfast finishing at 10:00 am is too early, and guests should not feel rushed on holiday. While waiting for our room, I later asked for a towel to swim. I was told to return in 25 minutes, but when I came back, I was then told towels would not be available until the next day. This was very disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Breakfast service also felt rushed. As soon as it reached 10:00 am, staff started turning off the coffee machines and clearing everything away. We wanted to relax with coffee around 10:30–11:00, but this was not possible. We were also told we could not sit in the outside breakfast area after breakfast had finished, which felt unnecessary for a luxury resort where guests should be able to relax comfortably. Overall, while the hotel has a beautiful setting and some strong positives, the service experience did not fully meet the expectations of a luxury resort.

Location, beach, sea, quality and style of the interior

The room was full of mosquitos ands bugs all the time that we could not sleep properly. There are no mosquito screen on the door nor window so when cleaning lady come an clean the room all the flies and bugs rush in to room! We stayed in villa rooms and it was beautiful but not spacious enough for 3 person! There were no inch to put anything in the room. It is perfect for 2 person though.

The resort is extremely well organised with a fantastic variety of activities and fun things to do. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

Everything was great, nothing to complain about.
