L'Osteria Luxe Beachfront B&B

The whole place is like a fairy tale, the pictures doesn’t give justice. The neigbouring streets might seem rough at the first sight, but we haven’t experienced anything but kindness from the locals throughout our week in Siargao. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, there was nothing they couldn’t help us with. Some critiqued the breakfast options but 1) we could eat that forever 2) they have always asked us if we’d have any special request for eg like a Filippino breakfast etc. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer than a week.

L’Osteria in Siargao has everything going for it—great facilities, an amazing location, and a beautiful setup.

The experience is completely ruined by the unfriendly service. The hotel has two front office staff: Madel, who is generally friendly, and Veronica, who is the opposite. She avoids eye contact, doesn’t greet guests, and lacks any sense of hospitality. For a hotel at this price point, you expect a welcoming atmosphere and good service, but that’s not what you get here. It’s a shame because the place itself is fantastic. If the management improves staff training and attitude, this could easily be one of the best stays in Siargao. Until then, it’s not worth the premium price.

Beautiful view, exactly as the photos show, if not better. Great friendly, accosting staff and owners. Dinner and breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast view every morning and the calm out of the place since they only have 4 rooms , it feels very private. The girls were all lovely. The Italian food that they make with a Philippino crew ,is remarcable.

They can’t do much about it , but the access road is literally awful , specially after a lot of rain. You must have a scooter or a tuktuk driver that wants to get in there , cause it’s almost impossible to walk. I guess we could consider the menu a bit pricy for the island , but we’ve been around trying to eat European food in Siargao ( tired of philippino food ) and L’Osteria cooks the best one. I would maybe add a couch or two, create a waiting area for people that must check out and have their flight later on .

We stayed at the Junior Suite for 2 nights. The place itself is beautiful! The room was great size for me and my sister. Bed and pillows were comfortable for a good night me sleep. Clean place and room as well. Staff were amazing! The staff are also very accommodating, anytime we needed a Tuktuk they would call one for us, they would ask if we wanted anything special for breakfast as we were always leaving at 7am and breakfast did not start till 7:30, they’d pack 2 freshly baked croissants for us (really appreciated this).

As like the other reviews and most of Siargao, getting to the place was very bumpy, muddy and dark (reason we kept taking the tuktuk) wasn’t too much of a bother for us though. The junior suite does not have a balcony or patio.. which was a little disappointing as the description did say there was one, therefore we weren’t able to just sit outdoors. There is a common area where you can eat and get beverages from which was a bit odd for the price you are paying, had to get our own waters… The view was ok, no fault of the place but they should mention that the “beach front” isn’t really what you’d expect. It’s all big rocks and not a swimmable beach. But it is a nice walk :)
