Riu Atoll-All Inclusive

The place is isolated and peaceful There are good entertainment arrangements inside Scuba and the photographer service were excellent Massage and Spa was excellent Room service was good. Unlimited drink if full board

The payment accepted on the island is only $ in cash. This is a huge problem for people who are unaware and come from Europe. The food has limited options for vegetarian and vegan Highly Racial and Discriminating During dining, my wife was asked to leave the dining area stating she was under dressed for the table by a lady waitress who apparently was instructed by some Manager who was never to be found. We spoke about this with the Assistant Manager named Samuel and he was quite not sure why my wife would not be allowed inside the dining area. We could sense catagorical racism for people with Indian origin against others. This was reported to the manager in the front desk and untill today, I have not been responded to. So that you understand why this review is We were staying in a premium water villa We were full board, meaning our booking included stay and all food. This is an island with no access to the outside world, so if you are not allowed for dinner, you basically starve or pay in a small cafe that has a limited vegetarian option. In such premium places, stopping someone from entering the dining area is a very stern step, which is really not acceptable in our case. We will be pursuing legally however it is a caution for anyone traveling with Indian origin to be aware of this behavior.

The island is beautiful, especially the place with the palm trees and the sand bank, the sea surrounding the island is excellent, the west side of the island is better and with no waves and the reef incredibly alive with a wide variety of exotic fish and corals that you can easily enjoy while swimming, without having to go far. The restaurant overlooking the sea has a wide variety of average food. The rooms are spacious and clean. Musical evenings are organized every night. It has few options of activities and excursions.

The second island Riu Palace is not open to those staying at Riu Atoll except every Wednesday at 11:00 for an hour with an escort, the island is not as beautiful as the other. During our visit to the RIU PALACE when we arrived at the pool bar we asked for something to drink as we were tired from the heat and the walk but they didn't offer us anything and the manager of the pool bar rudely told us that the time of the visit it was over even though we still had 5 minutes and we had to leave and if we didn't leave she would call security to force us out, it was the worst and rudest behavior we have ever experienced. WiFi does not have full coverage of the island. The humidity on the island is very high, as a result of which it is mandatory to have the air conditioning permanently at a very low temperature so you get cold and the bed with the sheets feel damp. The umbrellas and sunbeds in the rooms are less, in a block of 12 rooms it has 6 umbrellas and 12 sunbeds in which guests leave towels and other items to reserve them from the evening, so if you are lucky you might find one.

This is a super hotel, absolutely great value for the money. The beach is just perfect, cristal clear water, rich marine life. Super clean rooms, very comfortable bed and the staff is just incredible. Actually the service is a 5-star and I could go on forever with compliments!!! Thank you!

The only thing we didn't like was the sport activities such as as stand-up paddle, snorkeling, kayaking etc, that were offered to the gets free of charge just being available for one hour a day. We would have wished to used it longer.

The Ocean Water is unbelievable, rooms are very comfortable , i like the beach room with direct access to the beach and not talking about the view in the morning and sunset. A large variety of international foods , welcoming and serviceable restaurant staff , the view in tables next to window is magic . You will adore the dinner in Beef Steak restaurant but you should reserve your place in advance .

the Pizzas are not good in main restaurant , some food and drinks have bad taste , the distance between rooms and restaurant Is far and there is no transfer available all time .

Location, size, cleanness

We loved everything 🤍 it was our honeymoon and from the first minute we stepped in we were pleasantly surprised with the room decor and a free bottle of wine. We had the beach villa and the ocean was literally two steps away- people did try to reserve sun beds but you could always find one or two so didn’t think it was a problem :) the food was amazing and there was plenty - you could pick from various dishes around the world. We did manage to book the restaurant one night, but preferred buffet. I have to thank the hotel because they helped me on our last day and allowed me to stay a bit longer in the room because I wasn’t feeling well 🤍 the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We hope to be back one day 🥂

Generally these are minor things, but if I have to write something here it is : - the bed was making a lot of noise 😅 - the WiFi signal is weak at certain points - the AC needs to be on because of the humidity but sometimes is was too cold
