From the hotel you get a fantastic view of the valley with the river and the dam backwaters. The room service and service at the restaurant is exceptional. The landscaping has been handled artistically. We had booked a forest facing room which actually overlooked a dense forest. The room is very spacious and has a internal staircase leading to an attic which has a double mattress and a window overlooking the pool and valley. The breakfast spread was wide and food quality was very good

The roads in old Mahableshwar are in a pathetic state though I could see resurfacing going on. Hence travel to the main town in the night is highly avoidable. You have no option but to eat at the hotel restaurant and the prices are steep.
