Marutham Village Resort

Beautiful location amid lush farmlands with plenty of greenery and open space. The resort offers engaging activities, and the pump set and paddy fields were especially charming.

There were too many reminders about the activities, which felt unnecessary. Also, the pool’s location wasn’t very convenient, it would have been better placed behind the property.

We really liked how thoughtfully the hotel and its activities are designed to recreate an authentic village experience. It’s a wonderful place for children to enjoy something completely new from what they usually encounter in everyday life. The Pongal celebration during our stay was exciting, engaging, and a delightful bonus. The serene environment, filled with the soothing sounds of birds chirping, made the experience even more special. On top of all this, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which added greatly to our overall enjoyment.

The room upkeep could be improved. During peak seasons, having more staff available would help ensure smoother service.

The food was excellent. Service was great. All the staff were so pleasant and nice. The activities were interesting.

Only problem was the flies while eating.

The way the resort was setup was fantastic - mimics 2 streets of a village with an open paddy field with huge wells and pump-sets, lake nearby, vegetable garden, cattle farm, huge open lawn, swimming pool, artificial falls, swings and play area, traditional activities to engage children and adults, street-food stalls, etc. Every evening traditional artforms like paraiattam, karagattam, mayilattam, etc. were being played by professional artists. Staff were courteous and kind.

Food was highly priced and was loaded with masala, creating problems with the gut. TV had technical issues and coordinating to get it repaired was a task!
