Caligo Resort

The hotel is in a beautiful location, with a great view. A little minus is that there is no proper light in the bathroom and the breakfast could be more varied.

The room was a perfect private bungalow overlooking the mountains. The bathtub was a very nice touch with a view of the outdoors. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food for order was very fresh and good. The breakfast food choices were basic, fruit was limited but it was included so there was not too much as far as expectations they had lunch type options for breakfast and they were very good.

The view is breath-taking and every room feels like you are on the top of the world, from bed, from the bath or from the balcony. Amazing. The staff are very kind. I got food poisoning whilst I was there (not from the food here) and they went out of their way to look after me. The set up of this hotel is like a 5* but it is missing the level of service/small things like patchy cleaning in the rooms/bits of damage - but this is not a complaint because I'm sure if this was done it would be double the price. So you can have the 5* set up & view with a few rough around the edges things which make it a little more adventurous! Would love to come back here and stay even longer.

Very friendly staff (though limited English) and they are a small number of staff so don't expect super fast service. Location is near the lake but you would still need a taxi/scooter to get around. Taxi's are very expensive here as it is not built up (even in Kaoh Sok town which is around an hour away) so highly recommend booking a scooter from the hotel which is very reasonable.

Breakfast was much better than we expected from the previous reviews. Excellent coffee and Thai food. The staff are excellent and very helpful.

The resort needs quite a lot of attention-the infrastructure is crumbling and dilapidated. The lighting is bright and functional rather than setting the mood in what is an expensive resort. The views are spectacular and the place is saved by excellent staff. We got the impression that this hotel has been built to be relatively top end and then simply forgotten about. No further investment. The bar beside the pool is completely empty-nothing, no drinks, glasses or staff-just bare shelves. And yet it would be a perfect place for an evening cocktail. Very poor value for money-priced for top end but delivery far from this.

The staff was so helpful and supportive by answering the questions And wanting us to have a good time at their place We made an early check out and we were provided with a take away breakfast

The water was without pressure in the shower/bathtub

It was ok, but run down, but loved the outlook from the pool and staff were great

But run down could do with a bit of tlc, food was terrible

The view and the swimming pool was just perfect. The breakfast was ok but nothing special, I was expecting a lot more for this price.

Clean, modern, comfortable, amazing view, amazing staff and close to the dam for the khao sok boat tour. The staff is extremely helpful and the pool was awesome

Unfortunately the breakfast left something to be desired and was cold every morning. A little bit expensive for what you get but it was great.

Views are stunning, the sunrise is worth getting up early for! We stayed here the night before an overnight visit the Cheow Lan Lake, which is a 2min drive from the hotel.
