Pachingo la primavera

The family cooked us a great breakfast and dinner (I'm sure you could have lunch if you wanted it) everyday for a reasonable price. Beautiful hostel with lovely, clean facilities. Perfect for an escape to surreal surroundings, away from people. 1hr walk to the grey desert, would recommend. We walked to the grey desert (there's a little bar about half way) then spent the day there in the natural swimming pool. Our hostel organised horse riding from the hostel, a visit to the astronomy auditorium at night and a tuk-tuk to take us to the red desert and then back down to the village.

+ The camping site is really nice, flowers, trees, nice outdoor bathrooms, hammocks etc., so beautiful! + really nice desert view + everything is clean

- Important (everywhere in the desert probably): bring a lot of mosquito spray for the night, it’s still like 30 degrees and hard to sleep in the tend with no wind - communication is via WhatsApp, better ensure that you have internet (when we arrived in the afternoon, there was nobody and the fence closed) - when we arrived (the second time), the lady was nice but not really motivated (maybe it was just a bad day) - be aware that it is located quite far from the main road e.g. for a visit at an observatory (but they help you, if you want a tuktuk)

Familial finca in the middle of the desert. Such a nice view and atmosphere , all of this in a quiet environment ! It’s magic to camp in the middle of Tatacaho desert. The family running the finca is very attentive , breakfast are big and very good and you have the option to book a diner as well. They make sure to accommodate to your needs. They show you the goats and horses on the morning. They also offer horse tours , we did it and it was very nice ! The owner takes care of his horses and they will make a tour where there is nobody. Really worths it :) We really love our stay and can only recommend it to you!

Might be better to have internet to coordinate with the different tuktuk during your stay. It might also be good to have your own filter for the water or you need to buy a lot of bottle !

Amazing location and the tent was very comfortable with lovely decorated area outside the tent. The bathroom was really cool in the middle of nature and the breakfast was delicious!

the location outside the town and close to the desert is great. it’s a beautiful spot. the food was good and good value.

There aren’t pillows, not a big problem, just bring one or use rolled up clothing.
