Office closes early

Lovely timeshare resort / reminiscent of the old school timeshares. The facility is small and cozy offering one swimming pool and one jaccuzzi. (If there was a gym, I didn't see one nor was I told of one. However, I wasn't planning on using one so it didn't bother me.) I met a few people at the facility - many of the owner/guests own multiple weeks and pretty much have their routine which includes a weekly pot luck gathering which appeared to be a popular well attended event. Ample outdoor seating areas. The unit (1bdrm) was quite spacious, king bed, full kitchen, cabinets for storing pantry items, fridge equipped with ice cube maker, coffee pot and electric kettle, living room large, large flat screen tv's (50"+ and the channel and streaming availability offers lots of viewing options). The facility is conveniently located, just one block away from the beach, shops and restaurants. Publix market and Galleria mall walking distance. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and Bonnet House worth visiting as well.

The bed was comfortable. The front desk girl at check In was nice. She made sure to call when the room was ready and they let us store our luggage in the office.

This is just an upgraded motel. Way overpriced! Sofa bed was not made up at all so my son had to use the pool towels for a pillow and blanket. The office closes at 5. But the worst part, a group of men unlocked our room with their key and started yelling at my kids that they were in the wrong room. I came out of the bedroom and told him to leave. He argued with me a bit and said we need to leave and he just got the key from the lock box. I told him to leave or I'm calling the cops. I called the on call number. They "forwarded and email to the higher ups and it's up to them what they are going to do about it" He told me to bolt lock the door and put some furniture in front of the door for protection. I told him that was not acceptable. He said there was nothing else they can do. So I stayed awake all night just to make sure he didn't come back in. When I called the front desk in the morning, they said he did that to a few other guests because he had the dates wrong.... there is so much wrong with that. HOW is this guy able to get multiple keys to multiple rooms. Could have been a very very dangerous situation. I'm suppose to just be satisfied with the late check out I was given. Also the reason I booked this room was because of the early check In and late check out that is advertised on the listing. I will never stay here again and I would suggest that until they get their security under control that people use extreme caution if you are going to stay there.

Great location and spotless and friendly. Close to beach and bars and restaurants like The Parrot 🦜 around the corner. Loved the place. Very well run property.
