Super friendly and attentive staff. Very peaceful and a great place to chill and/or relax. They have amazing chefs who feed you some super yummy food too.

The WiFi is one of the worst ones I've experienced, and I travel a lot!. They need to up their speed and have it available throughout the resort. It keeps booting you out randomly and this can get very frustrating.

1. breakfast is badly cooked - fruits are over riped - no orientation on what we can have or not 2. meals are mediocre - not up to hotel standard 3. kayaks are needing to be replaced 4. no in house activities 5. too far away from convenience stored yes food available to us in their restaurant is abominable 6. not even a microwave in the room so we have no option but eat the food in the restaurant

Breakfast was absolutely awesome. Especially the omelettes. Fruit platter was a lovely touch. Food wasn't too badly priced.... nice wholesome food... not too flashy... but appetising and reasonably nutritious. The staff, however, are the "standout" in the excellence of this place. Friendly and helpful Absolutely lovely people.

Nothing that the resort can do about how isolated they are. If you don't have a rental car... you're at the mercy of the completely unreliable buses... or a reasonably expensive taxi. The staff to the rescue again... they're willing to help you get to town... and to give you advise about how to get there.... IF they don't actually take you themselves. (Thanks heaps Solo... you're a star)

The Lander's Bay resort is located a 45-minute drive north of Nadi and is located right on the beach (and not as inidicated by booking.com someplace in the hinterland).  In fact, it is best reached using your own rental car. It has nice and spacious garden and beach front bungalows (bures) with fan and air conditioning. They also have a porch for seating and are in general quite comfortable when it's hot outside. Our's also came with a fridge and amenities like coffee and tee. The hotel has a restaurant and a pool and offers massages and certain activities like pool volleyball. There are lots of deck chairs to relax in at the beach or around the pool. They offer free kayaks to explore the mangroves just in front of the hotel beach which is highly recommended. There is not so much snorkling possible, since the area largely falls dry during low tide and thus there are stronger currents that move lots of sand with the tides that reduces visibility significantly. Among the mangroves, however, water was clear but then again, there wasn't that much marine life going on. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food was OK, although for my vegetarian wife there weren't too many options besides the usual curry with rice (which is more or less the same everywhere in Fiji). Food and drinks are priced OK considering that you don't have lots of alternatives since the next "supermarket" is quite far away and there are no restaurants about.

It is obvious that that hotel has seen many summers during it's lifetime and that is what to expect although the staff tries to keep it in a good shape. It seems like some facilities of the hotel have been used previously but are now not in use anymore, like the kids pool (which is ok for me) or the swim up pool bar. However, it gives the hotel a strange atmosphere since you see those parts being so present but simply not maintained. This adds to the impression that this resort has seen better days. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay there but I'm not sure if we would book it again when coming to Fiji next time.
