Cheeva at pai ชีวา แอท ปาย

The location was good, 10 minutes walk to the night market. Parking in front of the building. Easy to find. The lady at reception was very friendly although she did not speak English.

THE HUMIDITY. We only booked for 1 night and I certainly would not have stayed longer. Everything in the room was practically moisty, even the sheets. The walls are super thin. You could hear the neighbours talking if you were standing next to them. As our room was quite close to the road, I could hear every car and motorbike. I guarantee I have no trouble sleeping normally, but I had a hard time falling asleep there. For someone who has trouble falling asleep, I can imagine it would be very difficult.

Clean room, large bed, good AC Water provided in the fridge Hot shower (once we figured out to turn the pressure down a touch to get hot water to come through) It was dark in the room in the mornings so you can easily have a lay in if you can get past the noise Staff were friendly enough, though they could go a bit further and show you to your room Cute cats usually hanging around reception Good location, 15 min walk to Pai walking street

Unfortunately we were in the closest room to the road, so the traffic in the mornings was fairly loud, but they do provide ear plugs The walls are thin so we could hear our neighbours quite easily The room is a bit dark, due to having one window (with no direct sunlight coming through) and with the room being painted a dark colour

Great location and clean room with all the amenities. Parking is available and staff were helpful. Great restaurant next door for Khao Soi.

A little damp in the room probably due to lack of sunshine but this didn’t bother us.

The rooms were clean and really cute interior, I also loved the big window! The staff was really friendly and supportive. The bed was huge and super comfortable.

My rooms was different from the pictures and really dark, despite the window. It was also really cold because of the stone walls and floor. Needed to use earplugs to sleep bcs the room was located to the main road..

Bed was comfy

We were given a room which was not true to the booking photos, when we asked if we could swap to the room we booked eg. we booked a room with a 'view' only to find our window was blocked by a permanent fence. We were invited to cancel our booking via booking.com (they would keep the money and we would lose a booking) and they did not offer to help us in any other way, they kept saying we could just leave. The staff were not very nice about the mis understanding on their behalf and said that booking.com has mistranslated 'view' on the booking. Rather then trying to resolve the situation we felt that they were trying to make it our fault, they even said we didn't tell them in advance? I'm not sure how we could have told them in advance that they gave us the wrong room. We told them immediately after check in. We requested a discount as the room we are paying for isn't the one we are staying in and they did eventually give us a small discount. A small note about location- you can walk into town which is great but it is a 15/18 min walk, but after sunset the road is dark and with some turns so felt uneasy walking back in the dark. The room is very close to the road so it can be noisy at night (so bring ear plugs!) We were made to feel very unwelcome by staff and not a great way to start our trip in Pai.

Finally a soft bed!! And super clean rooms, just perfect!
