The rules and behavior of the management. Obviously all is focused to save money, no client orientation. Some examples: -it starts, that at the check-in you get a paper with the rules, which is then read aloud to you, like military -there is only room cleaning on demand, but no information about this -the quantity of breakfast is extremely small -if you order dinner, just the meat/fish is included for 400-500 Pesos, rice and vegetables will be charged additionally (recommendation: go to the Punta Villa Resort, about 20 min walk, 100-200 Pesos per person cheaper and better quality and quantity) -the staff can hardly speak English - only 2 staff in one shift, who have to handle everything (reception, restaurant, cleaning, pick up of guests,…) -rooms need more maintenance (split type A/C loud and not enough cooling, a hole in the bathroom roof, no ventilation in bathroom, toilet seat too small and lose, inside door locker not working,…) - during a brownout, the generator was not in use. After complaining (room too hot without A/C) they started it for a short while. During breakfast we got informed that its switched off and will be started at 11am again. A no go! -running out of water for 1 night and 1 morning during brownout, because the water storage was not filled up on time! -hint that you should use the WiFi limited time, obviously in the restaurant the number of users is limited. Conclusion: the mentality of the owner to save money everywhere leads to a bad experience for the guest.

Well designed cottages each with a gorgeous view of the bay. We stayed in Shell Cottage which had the fewest steps to get to but still had a stunning full ocean view. Our hut was large comfortable and clean. We didn’t need the aircon because of the ocean breeze. There are 2 places to access the ocean, one for swimming and the other for snorkeling. The food was excellent and good value. The staff were extremely mind and helpful. We didn’t find the access road or walk as difficult as we had expected from earlier reviews (we are in our late 60’s). And the stairs between the rooms and restaurant aren’t as much as we had expected either.
