Staff were friendly, helped with scooters, laundry and gave us free coconut water from the trees around. The room was okay and pool looks nice.

You can hear the call to prayer in the morning and at night it is quite nice to hear but woke me up at 5am. The bathroom is not clean and there’s ants inside. Gym facilities didn’t look useable but I didn’t try. The location is far from the good beach’s and activities, but it was good to see where more of the locals live and old town is much quieter than main places. I wouldn’t stay again.

What we appreciated most about our stay at Ban Saran was the peaceful and beautiful location, slightly outside of Old Town, which made it perfect for relaxation. We also truly valued the warm and caring hospitality of the staff. Despite our late and delayed arrival, someone stayed awake to welcome us and guide us to our room, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception and maintenance staff stood out throughout our stay. We also appreciated the daily fresh towels and drinking water, which added to our comfort. Overall, the atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and made our stay very enjoyable.

The only downside of our stay was the level of cleanliness. We noticed some crushed mosquitoes on the bathroom walls, and the bathroom drain was clogged with hair, which suggested that cleaning between guests could be more thorough. Additionally, when moving a small piece of furniture to reach a power outlet, we noticed dirt underneath, indicating that certain areas were not cleaned in detail. While these issues did not ruin our stay, they did affect our overall impression and are areas where improvement would make a big difference.
