Ikani Surf Resort

Ikani Surf Resort is at the beautiful Blue Lagoon in an awesome location. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and there is a nice and well-maintained pool. The Hotel has a restaurant, where you can pay with credit card, which is very convenient.

Sadly the room was not cleaned well, there was hair on the mattress and the floor upon check-in. All in all, the price is too high for the amenities that are offered in my opinion.

This is a resort, a resort without a restaurant or a bar, no drinks available, no food available no breakfast available. The whole area is extremely run down due to COVID and the latest hurricanes, very few properties are still open, most are in a state of disrepair.

Our stay at Ikani Surf Resort had a mix of positives and disappointments. On the bright side, the exterior design of the resort was beautiful, blending well with its surroundings. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, making our experience more enjoyable.

However, there were a few issues that detracted from the overall experience. The most significant problem was the air conditioning. It was an old-style unit that was incredibly loud, to the point where it was difficult to sleep with it running. Additionally, we couldn’t use the TV when the aircon was on, as the noise from the AC interfered with the TV sound. At night, leaving the air conditioning on was impossible due to its loudness. While there was a window in the room, it couldn’t be opened, and the door lacked a privacy net, so we had no option for better ventilation or air circulation. We inquired about upgrading to a room with a newer, quieter air conditioning system. Unfortunately, we were told that this would require an additional payment. What was particularly frustrating was that when we booked online, there was no mention that this specific room had an outdated air conditioning unit. Additionally, we didn’t understand why we had to pay extra for better quality air conditioning, especially when there were still rooms available for the entire duration of our stay. We would have expected more transparency regarding the condition of the room, and if all rooms were occupied, we could have understood the lack of availability. Overall, while the resort has a lot of potential, the air conditioning issue really took away from what could have been a relaxing experience. It was quite disappointing to pay for a room with these shortcomings, especially when better options were available.

Very friendly staff. Recommend small table and chair in room, luggage bench/ rack, dining room entertainment such as karaoke, and connections to locals for transportation service to get to other destinations other than the hotel.

It was run down, shower area didn’t even have curtains so water would flood entire area if one were to take a shower there. Bed and beddings didn’t look really clean.

The complete area is a Ghost little town everything is abandoned and wrecked due to the years ago typhon and nothing has been repaired, there is Nothing there and the weather is Terrible wet and windy

Accommodation was too expensive. We paid for a pricey breakfast per head but food served were limited and not good. Our booking was with breakfast but upon check in at the hotel, we were told that it was not included. Hence, we end up paying for a per head meal of Php450 each.

Booking.comshould properly coordinate with the hotel beforr posting inclusions in accommodation. You should be very careful on this as this provide additonal cost to guests/tourists. My booking for tgis is poor for BOOKIN.COM!
