Wildflower Meadow Cabins

We really enjoyed our stay. We’re already planning our next trip. Everything was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was lovely. We had a view of one of the lakes and it was beautiful waking up and seeing it.

That I only booked one night stay.

The nature vibe surrounding the cabin, bed was comfy, overall look of the cabin and set up was cosy and enjoyable.

Cabin was covered in cobwebs and wasn't very clean, hot tub had a layer of scum which brought into question as to whether they actually empty after every use. Had a kid on a dirt bike riding up and down past the cabin the whole time which ruined the tranquility expected. Had to call the office multiple times regarding the shower which would either scold you and then run freezing, or was just freezing cold continually. Water pressure was like pouring a watering can slowly, which made washing nearly impossible on top of the water being like ice. When I called I was met with attitude and suggestions like "do you want to leave today?", "we have good reviews" and "we had someone in there yesterday and it worked", rather than apologies and attempt to rectify it. Had multiple men sent to the cabin where I was sat in a towel freezing cold whilst they reset the boiler (something my partner had already done), and that was their 'fix', the general attitude of the woman I dealt with absolutely stank and we definitely will not be returning. On a bonus, we found a beautiful place on one of our excursions of which we 1) wish we'd have found before this one, and 2) where we'll be spending our money next time.

The cabin was cosy and the hot tub was so lovely to get into in the evening. Such a lovely setting with the lakes and fields surrounding, so relaxing. Staff were all very friendly too, and the food at the restaurant was delicious! We would definitely go again!

It would have been extremely useful to have some hooks outside to hang towels on for when you get out of the hot tub, also some toilet cleaner or something to help the smell of the drains in the bathroom.
