Thala Beach Nature Reserve

Les cabanes sont magnifiques, la vue et la plage déserte

La plage semble laissée à l’abandon, les fauteuils sont sales, le bar de plage est resté fermé tout le séjour. Nous avions reservé deux activités gratuites : observation des étoiles et Nature Walk, les deux ont été annulées sans proposition de remplacement. Le petit déjeuner est moyen (faux sirop d’érable, jus d’orange industriel) Enfin, nous fêtions notre lune de miel, n’avons reçu aucune attention particulière. Nous trouvons que tout cela n’est pas à la hauteur d’un hôtel 5 étoiles

This resort was Heaven on Earth. The staff went above and beyond and they were all super nice. The views from the restaurant and bar overlooking the Coral Sea were astonishing and so was the food. The natural swimming pools were a delight as well, but what really stood out beside the staff were the tours for guests only. I loved them all: the Nature Walking Tour with Brett, the Star Gazing tour with Rose, the Coconut Odissey tour with Geff and also the cultural presentation about the Kuku Yalanji. There is also a private beach for guests only and it was lovely to walk around the property and spotting birds, butterflies, plants and all that nature has to offer. If one does not want to walk there is a buggy service taking you around the resort 24/7 and reception is also open 24/7. There is even a Turtle Lookout to spot seaturtles. The bungalows with their porches overlooking either the sea or the forest were stunning and what I loved the most about this place was how the resort was the background of the surrounding nature and not the other way around.

Had an amazing stay at Thala. Really beautiful property with stunning views from the restaurant. Staff couldn’t be any more friendly. The activities offered by Thala are really interesting - managed to do a nature tour and coconut tour. Unfortunately missed the stargazing tour. Some lovely walks around the resort too into the private beaches.

In my opinion, as we are in a high price area, breakfast should be included and maybe served as buffet instead of a la carte.
