Vretreat

It’s described well. Isolated with a stunning stretch of beach. The property grounds are beautiful. It’s a very relaxing place. Nothing around. If you want isolation this is the place! The food was delicious too 🥰

The rooms are quite dark, I guess to keep the heat out

As vergetarians our first impression was that the veggie options were limited. However, we asked 8 time a veggie curry and had 8 times a diffrent one. Very delicious food, fresh from the market! Close to the beach and the lake on the other side. As there was not a lot to do, we visited the little harbour- in the morning- by tuktuk. Which we recommend. Friendly couple, English is limited.

Trash on the beach. Swimming was almost impossible due to very strong currents. Not a lot to do in the area.

A secluded little paradise run by a lovely family. Sea on one side and the backwaters on the other.... what a location! Nice clean rooms and good home made food. Excellent.

Vretreat is a truly wonderful homestay and resort situated right on Valiyaparamba beach. Its prime location offers the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience, as it is far enough from the bustling town of Payyanur to provide a peaceful escape, yet still within easy reach for any essentials or excursions. Throughout our stay, we were exceptionally well taken care of by Mr. Subhash and his wife, whose hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. Their attentiveness and kindness ensured that every aspect of our visit was comfortable and enjoyable. One highlight of our time at Vretreat was the breakfast, which was not only delicious but also the best we had during our entire trip.

Location was great as the beach was just outside the property. The care takers Subhash and his wife took good care of us and prepared very tasty Kerala food. We forgot to take our phone charger while checking out and Subhash took the trouble to send it to us by post.

The room could have been a little more comfortable. Not enough horizontal space to keep things in the room and bathroom.

The location is great! Between the beach and the backwaters. We loved the retreat, even if we had bad luck with the weather. The food is excellent, the staff is very nice. They have somebody helping with english communication, which makes things even easier.

The location is wonderful, between the ocean and the backwaters. The staff was very friendly and helpful, e.g. with reservations of activities, taxi,... The food was excellent, healthy and varied. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

This place is a hidden gem. We loved everything — the quiet and picturesque location, the delicious meals, the wonderful hospitality. We had so much help from John and the staff organising a private yoga session and transfers to our next destination. It was exactly what we needed after a busy few weeks of travel. We had it all to ourselves too!
