Papaya Cottage Koh Chang

We booked this cottage for 7 nights and the horrors of this place made us leave after the first night. Having a really lengthy journey and coming to this place so excited to finally be able to rest and seeing 100s of mosquitoes waiting to feast on you isn’t even the worst part of this place. There were centipedes crawling in n out of the door all night (we’ve had to kill 4), neither the windows nor the door closed all the way leaving a slight gap that was letting all the mosquitos n centipedes in. This place had a serious termite infestation that goes all the way up the ceiling and behind the fridge, all the way to the bedroom. There were gecko poop everywhere and dead mosquitos everywhere. It’s actually sad that they didn’t put the slightest efforts into cleaning the room for their guest. The lamp in the room was FILTHY. The bathroom had a funky smell and the shower caddy was covered in rust as well as everything else in the shower and to top it all off, there was a dead roach on the bed next to the “clean towels”. The staff told us to beware of small snakes that are in the property. The property was so unkept it almost looked like a jungle walking there at night with no lights, grass all grown and snakes hissing. We spent all night sitting in one corner with all these bugs around us just finding a place to move to first thing next morning. The inconveniences this place has caused us and you’d think the owner would take accountability. We told him and showed his staff the dead roach, the 4 dead centipedes, the gecko poop, termite infestation and the overall filthiness of the cottage yet he refused to even acknowledge us let alone give us the refund for the unused nights. We basically paid for 7 nights even though we stayed one night in horror. (Zoom into the pics)

I loved the island and the chalet wasn't the best inside but outside looks good. But I think for the price it should have been much better

Комфортные бунгало, всё необходимое для проживания есть. Удобно, что есть зона приёма пищи. Хозяева - душки. Вода питьевая - в неограниченном количестве. Можно пользоваться общей стиральной машиной

В зоне столовой не хватает полок для размещения посуды, продуктов. Наличие муравьёв возле раковины(

Lovely Bungalow Style Hotel, near to beach and restaurants etc.

Please note the hotel's location is a dew hundred meters down a small lane off the main road which is not well lit at night.

Gościnność właściciela oraz Pań, które tutaj pracują. Na plus dostęp do świeżej kawy, możliwość szybkiego wypożyczenia skutera. Bezpłatne pranie ubrań - super!

Wyposażenie domków i sprzątanie ich pozostawia lekki niesmak. Warto pomyśleć o odświeżeniu domków oraz przyłożeniu się na sprzątaniu. Warto również odświeżyć teren wokół domków. Ogólnie całość potrzebuje lekkiego odświeżenia i delikatnego zainwestowania.

I’ll give you the positives, good location, free coffee, free water, free laundry and bungalows are a good size. It was only 10 minutes walk to beach, and 5 minutes walk to the main road where you get everything you need.

You are on a tropical island, so we had ants and small bugs in the room. Also we didn’t have a microwave as stated in the description.
