The location is as stunning as they get. The villas are superbly set up. And the food and drink is incredible, especially considering you’re at an atoll in the middle of nowhere.

Water levels below the water villas can be a bit low during low tide. Parts of the house reef are hard to access if you don’t have a beach villa adjacent. Transfer from Malé can easily take half a day.

Unser Aufenthalt im The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah war einfach traumhaft und hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise war alles perfekt organisiert: Der Empfang am Flughafen in Male, das Einchecken der Koffer fur den Domestic-Flug nach Kooddoo Island und die Weiterfahrt mit dem Speedboat zum Resort verliefen reibungslos und stressfrei. Das Einchecken vor Ort war herzlich und effizient. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch die Rückreise, die genauso gut organisiert war: Das Speedboat brachte uns pünktlich zum Flughafen Kooddoo, die Koffer wurden wieder nahtlos umgeladen, und der Domestic-Flug sowie die Ankunft in Male verliefen ohne Komplikationen – ein rundum sorgloser Abschluss. Wir hatten eine Two-Bedroom Sunrise Overwater Pool Villa, die uns mit echter Privatsphäre und viel Platz begeistert hat. Die Villa bot zwei separate Schlafzimmer, einen grossen privaten Pool und direkten Zugang ins Meer über eine Leiter – das türkisfarbene Wasser war atemberaubend! Beim Schnorcheln haben wir unzählige bunte Fische gesehen, und bei Ebbe konnten wir sogar zu Fuss bis zum Rand der Lagune laufen. Zur Erkundung der Insel wurden uns Fahrräder zur Verfügung gestellt, mit denen wir bequem die verschiedenen Restaurants, Bars und Strände erreicht haben. Die Insel ist wunderschön und grosszügig angelegt. Ein besonderes Lob geht an das Housekeeping: Sumon hat unsere Villa täglich zur vollsten Zufriedenheit gereinigt, uns jeden Tag etwas Süsses gebracht und immer gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Tolle, aufmerksame Arbeit! Kulinarisch wurden wir hervorragend verwöhnt. Im Dining Room (einem der Hauptrestaurants) hat Hafiz und sein Team uns beim Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen bestens betreut. Die abwechslungsreichen Themenabende sorgten für Vielfalt und haben uns nie langweilen lassen. Zusätzlich haben wir das Spa genutzt – ein echtes Highlight fur Entspannung – und ich habe zum ersten Mal einen Jetski ausprobiert, eine unvergessliche Erfahrung!

Food poor quality. Limited beach area to sit on and rocky. No pool service for food. Limited in room dining. Management not helpful and dismissive.

I don't know where to start I just think, without offending anyone, that everyone who left a review about this resort is being put to write by them This resort is a big dump and I don't recommend it for even a second Totally wasted money I had paid for a water villa with a pool for New Year's Eve with an all inclusive package I landed in Male at 14:05 PM. paying the resort to take care of our transportation to them I arrived in the evening at 23:00PM The whole day was lost without anyone caring even though I specially bought tickets earlier to arrive so that we wouldn't waste the whole day but.. there are two huge islands and they only have a very small beach with a few sun loungers on the sand where you could sunbathe if you were lucky enough to get a seat, something unacceptable for a 5 star resort regarding the food, very few dishes and of poor quality, many of the dishes contained spices specific to the area, curry or similar, and they had nothing else I don't know there are a lot of bad things to say in short, I greatly regret the choice I made regarding this resort and I don't recommend it
