Location, tranquility, privacy, very polite and attentive staff, a consistently great hotel overall

We stayed in a Junior Suite, which run at over €600/night, so our expectations were high. While the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming (pool staff was amazing!) and the overall atmosphere was pleasant, there were several areas where the experience didn’t quite meet the standard we anticipated. The room layout felt dated and not functional. Sea views were only available from the balcony, which unfortunately had no shade, making it impossible to sit there before 7pm. The bathroom had no hooks, or any storage for toiletries. A more ergonomic, modern design would have made a real difference. There were no insect screens and an abundance of moths and mosquitos, meaning we had to keep windows shut during warm evenings, which was a shame. Breakfast was ok, but very heavily focused on sweet items. If you prefer savory choices, like me, options were quite limited. The restaurant is really nice by the sea, however there were so many ants and flies that honestly, it was not a relaxing experience. Service was friendly, but it was clear that many staff members were in training. While we understand the importance of training, at this price point the service should remain seamless. On the day of our departure, we received five separate calls from reception regarding check-out, with no real acknowledgment of the inconvenience and insecurity this caused, when we mentioned it we were met with total silence. Similarly, at dinner, we were asked — very politely — if a trainee could assist with serving fish. We agreed, of course, but the fish arrived overcooked and was opened in front of us amid a swarm of flies. In such a case, basic service standards (like taking it inside for preparation) should be upheld regardless of training. But what was really incomprehensible is that we were asked for feedback several times, and were met again with inactivity and silence. No follow-up or acknowledgment, which felt dismissive.

Stunning location, beautiful views, quiet, comfortable…Elies Resort was more than we ever could have dreamed about. The staff were kind, attentive, and professional. The breakfast was delicious. The only complaint we had was that we didn’t have an extra night there! We will be returning without a doubt!

Wonderful setting, most kind, helpful and professional staff, right by the beautiful beach with an amazing pool! This is heaven on earth. Staff always willing to help and so friendly! We loved every second! Thank you!

We would love to see a Greek food menu in your restaurant for dinner. Greek food is so delicious and it was a shame not to be able to have it when dining at the restaurant. Other than that everything was amazing - thank you for your kind hospitality!

Beautiful quiet location and scenery - sea and mountains. Most of the small town is not even accessible by road and you have to walk along the beach which is very relaxing. Huge pool with enough sunbeds for all guests at all times! Nice rooms and very clean - cleaning every day was very thorough. Breakfast was good - the eggs and a la carte options were great as was the freshly made coffee. Some of the pies and croissants were clearly frozen / not freshly made, which did somewhat mar the otherwise high standard. The freshly cut fruit salad had also finished each day before we got to breakfast and not replenished. Otherwise, very nice indeed.

For such an expensive hotel, although the staff were extremely friendly and polite, there was no semblance of service around the pool or at the beach. It was extremely sporadic - we had to go up to the bar most times and order water / drinks ourselves.
