Funky Fish Beach & Surf Resort

Great spot if you’re traveling to surf. Very well located, close to breaks, they provide all meals and there are a few bites to snack between meals. The place is always tidy and clean, lovely and respectful staff, highly recommended.

- This place is ideal if you surf, or if you’re simply looking to spend a few days somewhere quiet. - Considering the price (much lower than other hotels in the area) it's good value for money. - Our bungalow was very spacious with an amazing view. The comfort is fairly basic, but everything was clean. Overall, it’s a really charming place. - The staff is friendly, always greeting you and happy to help with any questions. - The swimming pool was clean and refreshing. - The meals were consistently tasty. Breakfast is quite simple, and for lunch and dinner you get one dish per meal. It’s a good idea to stop at the grocery store in Musket Cove beforehand to pick up a few extras, as some may find the portions a bit light.

- There isn’t a huge amount to do on the island. The beach isn’t the nicest, and there’s no snorkeling directly in front of the hotel. - The hotel does offer a few excursions, including snorkeling trips and day access to a nearby resort. Fairly expensive for what you get. - The meal plan is a bit limited, so it’s a good idea to bring some snacks or extra food with you. - Getting there is quite a journey - the ferry stops at Musket Cove, and you then need to take another boat, which also comes with additional costs.

I loved the beach being right outside the rooms. Lovely place, great staff and the kittens are beautiful. They really added to the charm seeing the kittens relax and play on the sand.

Could not recommend funky fish enough. The best location, staff and the food was amazing. The best seafood we’ve ever had. We stayed in the funky huts and they were perfect, enough breeze to keep cool.

I simply want to say that the setting is idyllic. The little houses are perfect for two people, with an incredible setting.

I wouldn't say that we didn't like it, far from it, but the staff, and one person in particular whom I won't name, disappointed us. Their attitude and behaviour towards us was anything but respectful. Having to ask for our engagement photos every day, having to ask and ask again for activities without necessarily being informed is not normal. So the staff were very pleasant, except for this one person. I don't want to single anyone else out, that would be a shame. It just leaves a bad impression, especially when you are greeted in a rude and aggressive manner, all because we are not perfectly bilingual. It's not worthy of someone in a position of responsibility, and it's certainly not the way to treat customers.
